    Thanks for this! The biggest concern I'm having considering my future turbo project for my 4g63 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS is wiring everything to the ECU. I really see this as an obstacle, but you made this a bit clearer. Will definately try to use a Haltech ECU. You're the man, Scott! Hoping to find some Haltech dealers here in Norway :)

    Hello , I’m a big fan of your channel and love watching all your content on tuning and halltech knowledge, I am a die hard Mazda 323 familia/ laser tx3 fan . Being in Canada, we had in 1988 and 1989 , less than 2500 awd Mazda 323 gtx s and even less 323 Gt sedans with the same B6t engine but fwd. I have been extremely blessed to have owned quite a few of these amazing homologated road versions in my lifetime. Later on I fell even more in love with the 1.8L bp chassis turbo engines , I imported a 323 familia Gtr engine with harness and awd transmission that I couldn’t use in my front wheel drive set up , so I was sold on the Autronic Sm4 stand alone Ecu from Australia, the unit was very expensive and my local tuner was supposed to be an authorized dealer, he got the car running , at 15 lbs the car put down 237 hp on a real mustang dyno , big front mount intercooler and 2.5 inch exhaust, everything else , stock. I never really got to see the real power that engine could deliver because I’m sure my tuner wasn’t in his usual Subaru territory.

    I do have to say, your documentation and resources are excellent. Your support of Mighty Car Mods is also an AMAZING tool to advertise your product, but unlike most PR campaigns it is honest and truth-worthy. I did have a question about the CANBUS integration for the Elite Series 750/1500/2500. With a second generation RX8 (CANBUS/DBW), the Cluster is CANBUS as a broker between the Primary PCM network, and secondary networks all CAN controlled. Would any of those Elite series models be able to communicate with that CANBASED cluster or would it be not possible to use that cluster and/or supporting systems. Cheers, Keith

    • @haltech
      @haltech  Před 8 lety +1

      +Patrick We do not currently support the RX8’s factory CAN protocol - you will need to retain the factory ECU for body functions, and wire the Haltech in parallel for engine control.

    • @keith_5584
      @keith_5584 Před 8 lety +1

      +haltechecu Thank you for the response, Do you have any videos on interfacing any CANBUS or like a overview of the Elite's Can features and both kinds of interfacing to OEM and Haltech? I am interested in the technology behind the interfacing beyond just my vehicle.

    +Haltechecu Question...what's the best option for an Sprint RE ecu for an rx7 FC second gen? My friend started his project then hit a road Block... He basically took the stock ecu out and some of the harness. I've yet to dig into this for him to determine what's what. The Sprint RE ecu did come with a harness for the ecu but does not have the built in relays/fuses. I can always add one but wish it was all in one package. What we need would be links to best connector options to use for injectors, all sensors ect...can u help?

    • @haltech
      @haltech  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi Fernando,
      The Sprint RE is an entry level ECU and thus very basic - you'll need the plugs for the engine side, and to wire up a fuse box, both of which you'll need to source from third party suppliers. Your other option is to upgrade to the Sport 1000 with a 13B terminated harness kit which includes both fuse box and engine connectors.

      You would need to check with your local road authority. Our general recommendation is that aftermarket ECUs are for racing and offroad usage only.

    Is there going to be a terminated harness for a VQ35HR ?

    • @haltech
      @haltech  Před 8 lety

      +Scadieee Due to having dual electronic throttles, the HR will require custom wiring, with either a Haltech installed in parallel with the factory ECU (using factory to control the factory throttles), or stand-alone in conjunction with a cable throttle conversion.

    • @haltech
      @haltech  Před 7 lety

      As it is explained in great detail in the video, the short harness is much shorter and is used to connect to your existing engine harness, the premium (long) wiring harness is used as a replacement of your factory engine harness - so basically when you're completely rewiring your engine.

      If you are planning for E85 I would suggest looking at the Elite 750 which will run the engine as a piggyback and allow support for flex fuel in future.

      Hi Peter, we don't have a Platinum Pro Plug-in for a VAG. We do have an Elite with Adaptor Harness, however it only suits the AWP-engine code 1.8T varients.

    Would love one of these someday, though I bet it would be a pain on my US Z31 thats a mashup of several VG30Es from different vehicles and most of the sensors and things removed as well as a bunch of bolt-ons as well as custom fabrications. I think its basically running on airflow, water temp, CPS and O2 sensors alone at the moment. Not even any EGR, charcoal can, idle control anymore, just use set screw on TB and only vacuum hose is for brake master. Ac and heater core removed. Its not even original ECU. Have been told its from an aussie RB30. Just blah.

    is there any reason why you do not make plug and play for bmw e30 325i from 1987-1992.went all ower web and got nothing,by the way if you ever make it I will buy it,thanks.

    • @haltech
      @haltech  Před 8 lety

      As plug-n-play ECUs are very specific and cannot be used for anything else it's a question of demand. If we get enough request from our dealers and the public then we'll definately make one for E30. At this stage we haven't seem enough interest to warrant the development.

    What's the go with the haltech p1000. Heard it only goes to 15psi. What needs to be done if I wanted to go higher

    • @haltech
      @haltech  Před 7 lety

      The Sport 1000 ECU supports any boost pressure with the appropriate MAP sensor. If you’re using the on-board MAP sensor, the maximum boost that sensor supports is 22psi. Don’t forget your ECU also needs to be tuned for your desired boost level!

    • @daveperryLXXVII
      @daveperryLXXVII Před 7 lety

      So off the shelf the sport1000 ecu supports 22psi. i was told its 15psi and f i wanted it higher you guys would have to do your magic inside to go higher. Its tuned to 10psi on board map. I'll be upgrading a few things and I will want 3 psi settings. if you say its 22psi standard thats great news
