I wasnt convince with the video neither first time I watched it. I was even a little disapointed cause I liked mahmood's song so much last time (soldi was my favourite that year) But then I saw them live and it totally changed for me. They are one of my favorite entries now :D Go italy!!

I read somewhere that the outfit reveal was planned later on, but Blanco felt uncomfortable so he took the cape off.
This song is my favourite this year by far, but I read a lot of nasty comments online and now I'm scared that it won't be even in the Top 5. :/ I think the lesson I need to learn is to ignore online comments and just enjoy what I like

Don't trust the haters. Most people kept saying Mäneskin are overrated and would never win. And people were so mean to Switzerland and they came 3rd.
I am Italian so I know the language well 😎 there's nothing dirty in the lyrics of this song it's a dialogue between two lovers who are struggling to express their feelings it's a common dynamic appliable to any couple no matter the sexual orientation and the lyrics are not dirty but poetic they're not sexual they're about feelings.

There's been a huge fuss and a big polemic in Italy about the song interpretation and if the two artists weren't or not faking a relationship etc. As an Italian and therefore understanding the language well I can confirm that the song lyrics are indeed a dialogue between two people who are in a love relationship, the song is written in a way that only one of the two is specified to be a man and the topic is universal and appliable to any relationship no matter the sexual orientation. Mahmood has never faked etherosexuality but more than once has voiced out that he has no intention of coming out as gay because he finds questions about such personal matters to be rude and because he doesn't want to be publicly labeled for the sake of public curiosity that's why when asked to explain the song he came up with the answer "it's an encounter of two people telling eachother their own story" which is more appliable to what has happened in real life or what's portayed in the mv. Infact in real life Mahmood and Blanco met at the producer's studio (Michelangelo the guy playing piano in both mv and live) and decided after talking a while to do a song together coming out with the chorus, they went home and came back each one with a verse which put together in a song. Reading the lyrics it's obvious that's a dialogue between lovers and not something else and the two artists do a good job of interpreting the lyrics with good chemistry however many in Italy needed to point out that Mahmood is gay while Blanco is not and that the song is about their own individual story denying the lyrics blatantly and confusing fiction with reality: the song is a fictional story not portraying a real life relationship between Mahmood and Blanco but inspired by their own stories they have written the song which is undoubtedly a dialogue between two lovers.

Non per criticare, a me va bene tutto ragazzi ma mi chiedo: come possibile giudicare una canzone (straniera) se non riuscite a stare 1 minuto zitti? La musica è ascolto e l'ascolto di solito viene fatto in silenzio. I tatuaggi, il mantello, il vestito dei cantanti ... in un festival musicale quello che conta o dovrebbe contare è la musica, la melodia, l'emozione. Scusate se non scrivo in inglese ma non amo apparire quello che non sono. Ciao

I liked the song at first, but I have to admit that after listening to it a few times, it starts to grind my gears... I don't like the rap part at all. Also, the gay baiting is absolutely grating. And if they don't hit those high notes live, it's gonna be even worse.
There is no gay baiting, the topic is a common dynamic appliable to any couple no matter the sexual orientation the lyrics are specifing only one of the two people is a male and the lyrics are poetic about love feelings not sensual. With vulgarity thrown at us everyday from left and right a poetic song sang by a male duo is a breath of fresh air, there's nothing offensive in this song. It's 2022 open your mind a bit.
@@Barbara_M. What are you on, Barbara? You clearly misunderstood what I wrote. I never said that I was offended by two men singing together as if they are in love. What annoys me is them coming after the performance to reassure the retrograde italian public (Italy is one of the last country in western Europe NOT to have gay marriage) that while Mahmood sings to a man, Blanco sings to a woman. This, despite the fact that during their performance they clearly sing it to one another. On a promo material, there's even Mahmood in leather boots with Blanco underneath him and his head in his crotch. You have to be blind or extremely naive not to see the gay baiting in action. They perform gay love on stage but then reassure their audience that it's not the case. I would be totally fine with them saying that they are not singing to one another, but then their performance on and out the stage needs to match. Or they need to own up the gay subtext of their performance. But not this stupid wishy-washy stuff they are doing. That's what grinds my gear. So Barbara, next time you want to sermon someone, remember that you may simply not have understood correctly. It's 2022, be kind, do better.

It's the people who are silly, mistaking fiction for reality, forgetting this is just a song they are interpreting and feeling the need to specify the sexual orientation of the 2 singers like some important factor in the picture. I wouldn't be so judgemental of the two singers I am more critical of the public opinion who still look at the private sphere rather than the song in question. I can't see a gay bait here, just, probably, a mockery for bigots and gossip rags.
