    I'd seriously love to try more Japanese food. All I've ever really had was Sushi, but then I look at all the food in videos like these and I realize I'm missing out on a lot.

    I saw a bowl of Tendon....looks like a bowl of rice topped with tempura shrimp, with a teriyaki glaze. Good stuff!

    God. Didn't you put dashi on eel/rice??? You need to try Hitsumabushi again then.
    First, you eat it as it is, and then you add some seasoning on it and eat it, and finally you pour "dashi" in a pod on eel and rice and eat it like "ocha-zuke" style. This is the way of eating the meal. For sure, you will enjoy the meal more. Also you missed the most popular Nagoya food, Teba-saki (chicken wings)!!!

    Love your food tours, makes me want to go to Nagoya the next time. You seem adventurous so I recommend you try out an authentic izakaya while you're in Japan.

    There is way to eat hitsumabushi, you eat last half in broth it came with. Noticed broth pot and an empty bowl?

    I can 'just' get by using chopsticks, but if I went to japan I might have to bring along my own personal knife and fork set. You do pretty well with the old chopsticks. Well done Mr Clatt.

    Unfortunately you ate that hitsumabushi in wrong way you ate it like regular unadon. I’d suggest you do little research next time.
