Polls also said Hillary was going to win. I’m independent and get calls and texts from pollsters. I never answered a single one of them.
Wrong assessment. The polls were always either favoring the dems or weren't off by that much. In 2016 they were biased for the dems. In 2020 they were biased for the dems. In 2022 they were only off by one point in the aggregate.
It said Biden was leading Trump by a lot too so 🤷🏻♂️

Polls and hypotheticals this early in an election year do not mean much. The polls go up and down like a yo-yo. The way questions are ask and the way they are formatted add to the confusion. Also if the poll taker is in a red or blue area will also matter. So much can change in a very short time.

It would be nice if we had a holiday for voting, all votes in person with ID and citizenship verification, absentee only for elderly with disabilities and government employees (including military) out of the area for work. All electronic votes should have paper ballot backups, verify chain of custody, bipartisan oversight of vote counting, drop off boxing should be supervised and the person dropping off should have permission to drop off, present ID and limited to a total of five people they can drop off ballots for. If either party has a question about results, it should be investigated with transparency immediately without having to go to court. Any ballots not received by the cutoff date/time should not be counted. We need to leave no shadow of doubt about our election integrity.
