Hello! Iâm Jake, and today weâre going to show you the six best places to eat in Lanzarote.
Whoâd have guessed that one of the best places to eat in Lanzarote was underground? Jameos del Agua is a kind of museum, gallery, restaurant and landmark all rolled into one, set in a stunning underground anomaly that is uniquely Lanzarote.
The restaurant Jameos Del Agua is set down in these lava tunnels and itâs just so cool like all the decor is all about bringing nature things and everything the menu is fantastic, Iâve got some steak on the way on the way and yeah it's going to probably be the coolest place youâll eat in Lanzarote
The Jameos Del Agua are a collection of caves created by lava, and renovated by a famous artist and architect Cesar Manrique. When you first descend into the caves, youâll enter the Jameos Del Agua restaurant. A delicious menu full of traditional Spanish and Canarian cuisine, as well as many crowd pleasing dishes like burgers and soups too, youâll find something for everyone.
The view from Mirador del Rio is stunning, but thereâs definitely a different joy to be found in a warm, local restaurants like El Sibarita, in Caleta De Famara. This town is a water sport paradise, and the wind thatâs scooped in by this beautiful cove attracts surfers, windsurfers and kite surfers alike.
El Sibarita is proudly a small business that sources delicious local ingredients for their home-cooked food. They specialise in vegan, vegetarian and asian dishes, but donât worry carnivores - chicken and/or prawns can be added to any dish, and itâs just as delicious. Although their menu top-lines as vegan and vegetarian, you wonât be stuck with a salad. Big, mouth-watering rice bowls and delicious veggie burgers await.
and to be honest, what better way is there to recharge after a long day of surfing and sunbathing with a big healthy hearty meal.
ok, so this was a bit of a cop-out. Youâre not gonna come here for the food - donât get me wrong thereâs nice baguettes and nice pastries, you know. You can come here for a good lunch. But the real reason you want to eat here is to look out at all this.
What a view. Mirador del Rio is a lookout point set on the northernmost point of the island, and itâs 400m high. Two enormous glass windows, called âthe eyesâ of the Mirador, give you incredible views out to see, and the nearby island of La Graciosa, home to only around 700 people. The balcony and the eyes alone are amazing, but if youâve got the time, and the courage, make sure you also venture up to the lookout point on the top of the building. The view is spectacular.
Lanzarote has a couple of truly unique places to eat, but you cannot miss out on El Diablo in Timanfaya National Park. A uniquely shaped building on a peak in the middle of the Fire Mountains, El Diablo has panoramic floor to ceiling windows, giving you 360 degree views of the landscape around you. The park is famous for looking eerily like youâre on another planet.
For some, thatâs good enough to draw them to El Diablo. But for me, the real kicker was that this restaurant cooks using volcanic heat from below the ground! As the theatrical displays for tourists outside will show you, there is intense volcanic heat just below ground level. Using a huge grilling shelf placed atop a deep shaft into the ground below, they channel that volcanic heat to flame grill the food for the restaurant.
and let me tell you don't fill up on mains because they do this really delicious dessert that's like called what's it called volcano volcano on brownies soil ouu itâs delicious like a lovely and creamy and make sure you get that as well all about what the volcano.
In the big and bustling resort town of Puerto del Carmen, youâll find all manner of lively Irish bars and crowd-pleasing restaurants - and a walk around the dock, El Varadero, is a perfect way to spend the evening. But here, weâre going back to the smaller, rustic, genuine places.

2) Margarita in Puerto Calero, best pizza on Island suggest Calzone Parmingiana
3) Smokehouse in Geria, real meat from Smoker, closes at 20:00
4) Bistro Notario in Arrecife. Real top notch Italian food from Calabria, ask for daily pasta special
5) restaurant Capri in Puerto del Carmen, suggest the Verduras con gamba
6) blooming cactus in Puerto deal Carmen, really good Moussaka
7) casa Rafa in El golfo, best black paella on the island
8) Casa Carlos in Marina Rubicon, very good starters and Fish, expensive but worth it
9) Cascada in Puerto del Carmen: best steakhouse on the island
10) Restaurant Salmarina in La Santa, very Good Local Fish
11) bodega El chupadero in wine area La Geria, best tapas on the island, limited selcection but all fresh and very good, very good sundowner place too.
12) beach bar in Arrieta at the end of the Beach close to village, Mojito and the the Special Burger, very cool easy going local place

That sounds delicious! What would you recommend from the menu?
Well I think it changes depending on the pasta the are making at the time but when we went we had a seafood pasta and lasagne and honestly it was some of the best weâve had. Our family is Italian so we are used to good pasta! Also they had some fantastic Sardinian wines on the menu. We are actually going back to playa Blanca in may and canât wait to eat there again x
Love your channel, just surprised you didnât have fish! Super restaurants in Playa Quemada or El Golfo to have fresh fish of the day.

Mini burgers with quail eggs
Chicken and avocado in Marie Rose sauce with chopped hazelnuts,
The sweet black pudding dish.
My wife and I have been many times, as we used to live on the island and took our visitors there, so we've tried a lot of their menu.
It's quite a substantial menu, too, so there should be plenty of choices that you will like.
Next time check "La puntilla" in el charco de San Ginés (Arrecife)

The lighthouse has the best steaks in Costa Teguise!
Pizzeria Angelica in Puerto Del Carmen. Very small back street place with a view of nothing but the staff and pizza is the best and cheap.
I recommend polish restaurant, Indian called Bollywood and I also recommend sunshine which has delicious food and the old town has delicious food to

The best place to taste the real and quality food in Lanzarote is El Golfo!
I have a house here, i come fron north west of Spain, I'm renting a room for turist people , and my clients really enjoy the restaurants here.
I am visiting Lanzarote for a week from 21 February. Which restaurants do you recommend in El Golfo ?

None of the restaurants you mentioned are traditional 'guachinches'. They are all over priced tourist traps.

How can you recommend the restaurant in Timanfaya??? It's a tourist trap of the worst kind, the view is spectacular but the food is terrible. We should have listened to the Google map reviews, instead of your video.
