What’s the point of going all the way to Lanzarote and eating English food, you might as well saved the air fare and stayed in UK.

@@northbankgooner6126 then it sounds perfect for you, the nature of this channel is what it is, but if you go to Lanzarote, Tenerife etc and avoid the tourist traps as you call them, and head out to local town and villages, then you'll find all sorts of typical Spanish and Canarian food, festivals and much more :D There are 3 main tourist towns in Lanzarote in 3 of the 7 municipalities, but outside of them, there are LOADS of other towns, villages and harbours, lots with fresh daily catches etc :) Just because the channel you watch goes to places like Puerto Del Carmen, Los Cristianos etc, doesn't mean that's all there is there, and certainly doesn't mean that that's all there is in that town

To be honest you can’t beat an full Irish/English I don’t see anything wrong with this, you are on holidays just because you are in Spain doesn’t mean you have to eat Spanish food all the time, at night most people tend to go to Spanish restaurants anyway

Gravy texture is like brown water. What’s up with them?
That gravy like dish watter from, a Yorkshireman that is runny as hell , we like it thick and tasty
What’s up, is that they have probably made a jus instead of a gravy. A jus does not have thickener added, instead it’s reduced to the desired consistency, typically thinner than gravy and ends up with a more refined, cleaner taste. I love lashings of a good thick gravy as much as anyone, but sometimes it’s nice Ito have something that lets the rest of the ingredients shine instead of drowning them out.

Pudding where I come from, and while lacking a bit of colour on the roasties, that did look really nice. Not all roast dinners need to be smothered in thickened gravy either. Sometimes a sauce that’s a little more delicate is preferred to let the flavours of the rest of the food on the plate shine through. That’s the mark of a good chef and restaurant for me.

My Opinion: Is how do some people prefer Tenerife over Lanzarote. Not a fan at all of the beaches in Tenerife. Lanzarote all time for me been going for years. Over all the Canary islands I'm not a fan of Tenerife or Gran Canaria, and would say Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are the best to visit. I understand people's choice 👍

I prefer the gravy to come in a gravy boat and add it myself. Also prefer the gravy to be thicker.
That looked like a great roast, plenty of chicken but gravy looked a bit thin dripping everywhere but no doubt still tasty! I would have had custard with pudding but looks like you enjoyed and needed that meal to build you back up. Great vlog again Lee 🥳

The roast chicken meal was yummy, chicken roast is mine, and my Lee's favourite. Love that the meal was on a square white plate. Plus the fact that you got afters with apple pie and ice cream all for 12.95 an absolute bargain. I'd give it an easy 9 out of 10. The amount of chicken on your plate was crazy good. We have paid more nearly double for a lot less and no afters. The Guinness I classed that as medicinal😉👍🏽

Lee if you fancy a chines when you are there Old Town Asiatico is a fantastic restaurant/ takeaway.. brilliant food their spicy sweet and sour chicken is lovely .
Also if you fancy a real authentic German sausage in a bun with onions etc look for Jimmy's Bar ( near where you saw the divers) its tun by Jurgen and the sausages are called Thuringers. .better than bratwurst.. he also has a Thuringer Stall at the harbour on Marley day .
Mainly ... just enjoy a gorgeous island . From the harbour if you walk up the zigzag steps you can do a nice coastal path walk to the next resort Puerto Calero, lovely views and great harbour side restaurants there ... you can then walk back or get the boat taxi ....which is great .
You were NOT STOLEN on that dinner, looked really nice and filling, 10/10 from me with a nice SWEET........
Great vlog Lee, one minor point I have been to PDC many times old town and the newer strip but have not seen this bar, where is it? as I got no clues from your vlog at all.

Judging by the location of your opening footage, me and the Mrs was staying near you in the gloria izaro, we was watching every night to see where you had been ( and I'm from mansfield) 🤣 we only came back on Sunday, I was so hoping to bump into you whilst we was there. Great place, we had a fab time. Try and get to the highlander too, only a 10 min walk from where you are for the famous fish and chips and curry sauce, really big and delicious. Enjoy pal 👍

Looked great - roasties could have been a bit darker for me but personal taste - and maybe swap out the veg mix for a bit of cauli-cheese again personal choice - apple crumble and ice cream - way to finish a great meal!
