      Had my 1994 Camry for 8 years from 2010 to 2018. Sold it to a cousin and she beat the hell out of it for 2 1/2 years. It made it to the junk yard when some A hole thieves damaged the steering column and shifter trying to steal it. It was too expensive to fix. It was a phenomenal vehicle. R.I.P

      @ThePariss333 Did a little digging and the fuel pump for my 05 Camry with the 2AZ-FE engine runs $86.99 on AutoZone's website. I too have had to replace the valve cover gasket because my PCV valve froze when North Dakota had a cold snap. Ambient air temperature was -35 F and it was 14 year old rubber. New one took under an hour including cleaning up the leaked oil in the engine bay. I will give credit where it's due, Hyundai has come a long way recently, especially when the previous designer for Audi, Peter Schreyer, went to Kia for designing. My Camry gets 38mpg on the highway at 70mph with the windows down repetitively. Only code I have ever had was that the gas cap ventilation wore out and had to get a new one. I say keep your car until it dies. The best car is the one you don't have to pay monthly on!

    • @AnthonyHarris-mz4no
      @AnthonyHarris-mz4no Před 5 lety +1

      @ThePariss333 Keep an eye on the direct injection engines for carbon buildup. If you can, get a catch can to stop the oil from building up on your valves and making a bad seal. I know Kia switched over to DGI engines recently and this is a problem with them from any manufacture. Just the nature of the beast. Keep them clean, and they will treat you will many miles

    I just bought a used 2012 Camry Atara, from a car yard in Launceston Tasmania Australia exactly the same as the one in this video except in right hand drive, but with only cloth seats. I just spent the day cleaning and detailing it, and apart from cosmetic stuff like scratches on the paint , a thumbnail hole in a tail light , a smashed fog light and grille trim broken ( previous owner probably hit a native animal at nigt ) it's great! The build quality of the Camry is solid and the body panels are in perfect alignment even at 8 years old and the rubber seals are perfect! It drives very well even if it could do with an oil change and spark plugs. The stereo system it comes with is very good even at 8 years since it's release, plus it has a reverse camera already fitted which i can connect to the new stereo. I managed to pair my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in seconds and transfer my contacts to the car. I have a 10.1 inch Android Head unit on order that is an exact fit with matching facia, connection to the steering wheeel controls, and has the canbus box so no fault codes on the car. I've added a USB stick DAB+ Radio and a Tyre Management System to the new stereo as well, so as long as the car keeps running i'm future proof! There are so many parts available for Toyota Camry, even aftermarket that you won't ever have to worry about keeping it on the road. If you are thinking of buying one as a used car, you couldn't go wrong!

The interior was in great shape , the breaks were great , and I seriously miss the car a lot unfortunately I fell on hard times and sold it . Now I'm driving a peace of junk 08 focus that's having transmission issues .the engine and wiring under the hood Keep having electrical shorts .the car honestly handles like a cork in water on the highway and it's horrible in the winter . The good news is the Focus is gone and I have a 2009 Toyota Camry LE 2.4 and nothing but good luck once again . Toyotas don't die they keep running like new even though they are a plain car , the build quality and gas mileage and reliability are worth the plain look . And hey if the look is a bother. 96 Camry here with 174,000 and virtually no rust. I did replace the shocks and a steering rack and a few much cheaper things, but it gets 28mpg average and that is from a PDF on my phone that has 1 1/2 years of solid refueling data since I bought it. It seems to be in pretty good condition. The vehicle is comfortable to drive. Cruise, AC, and everything else works. I never had such an easy time installing the head unit and it sounds awesome on the stock speakers for $90. This condition of this car impresses me and it's ~23 years old. It was taken care of though apparently. No car can completely withstand careless users.

AMericans too busy investing in the military and too into profit margins to really build anything amazing carwise, except for maybe the Corvette n Viper.

      @EndlesSuffering Před 4 lety

      Yeah me too but not only is the V6 harder to find they are dealerships and private owners sell em for much more than the 4 cylinder. For example I found a 2014 Camry SE 4 cyl for $8k with 70k miles. While the same year but with a V6 cost over 11k and most of the have over 120k miles. I need a car ASAP so I just got the 4 cylinder. Great for everyday use but if you’re going to race someone at the freeway I wouldn’t bother specially if you’re carrying weight and have the AC on, that’s what the V6 is for.
