I don't understand how certain brands feel compelled to consistantly and regularly advertise for their already world-famous and flagship products, wasting massive amounts of money to get people to do what they were going to do anyways. I understand advertising brand-new products, but the standard stuff that EVERYONE already knows about is pointless to advertise.
Seriously. If Coca Cola stopped making commercials for their products over the next decade, does anyone honestly believe that people will stop buying their stuff, or that the company would just disappear? It's not like stores would cease stocking those products on their shelves. The money would be better spent giving the bottom 50% of their workforce a boost in wages.
