  • I started some drama about a toxic streamer playing Dead By Daylight on Twitter recently when I decided to post a clip of a particularly nasty instance of their saltiness... Here's what happened!
I hope you enjoyed the video today! If you did, please do leave a like and subscribe for more content just like this and to help me reach 25K by the end of the year! Also, let me know your thoughts on this guy in the comments!
REMINDER: This video is not here so that you can send hate to the streamer in question. It's an analysis of behaviour and you should take it as a lesson and entertainment, rather than an opportunity to spread hate.
If you have a streamer who you think I should check out, whether they be toxic or wholesome, let me know by emailing me at aaronduketwitch@gmail.com! :)

There's no reason, why a streamer of all, should even promote sending hate to someone.
The way she spoke to /about the killer is just nasty and I'm glad you called her out. This behaviour doesn't belong in DBD and some twitch partners also shouldn't be twitch partners (we all know the story about shortbread). We just need to make sure to hold people accountable for their actions and words.

The attempts to justify this hateful person is staggering, but it really does bring up the question, are they jusfitying because they agree with, or are they agreeing because that person is a survivor player. Think about it, considering how much hate people like tru3 get for far less and on forums how survivors will actively treat killers like garbage and say toxic survivors only exist because of toxic killers it begs the question if this person was playing killer would they gotten the backlash. Because honestly, i think this is just survivors trying to defend their behaviour so they can contuine playing the victims

The overall problem with the DBD toxicity are the people themselves. If you are a toxic person, you’re going to play toxically regardless of the role you’re playing, regardless of even the game you’re playing.
Regarding Tru3: People don’t like him because he complains a lot. He’s talented, he plays against veteran SWFs and he’s fine as long as things go his way ,but if one survivor plays better than him, he gets tilted, starts making self-deprecating comments and loses focus. Tru3 would be disliked even if he was the most dedicated survivor main.

Its perfectly understandable to get annoyed at a killer that purposefully bleeds you out and wastes your time, especially as a streamer, but to be that angry, and to make it that personal? On stream too? There is definitely something else going on there. I hope that person can find a way to get past their rage, its not healthy for them or their viewers.
I have never used Twitter but I know its a place where anger begets anger and people just love to get involved in everything that could breed an argument, just so they can share their often toxic opinions, yell at people, or just troll, and from what iv'e seen of DbD Twitter... its even worse. Unfortunately, there's a weird phenomenon in DbDs community where survivor mains are vs killer mains as if its the two sides of a war and not just effectively two game modes in a video game, anything one side says has to be slandered by the other. I'm unsure how these people became so hostile and often delusional, its pretty upsetting to think about.

People really like to be tribal today
There are cases where slugging should be expected
      1. There are no hooks nearby at all and it would also waste the killer's time to carry them and lose them
      2. Leaving them on the ground to chase another survivor that is right there in the same area (which could very much try to buzz around you or flashlight you if you carry the downed person)
I've had a situation where the last survivor was downed, but there were no hooks nearby. I had tried to have them follow me so I actually had a chance to get them on a hook. Thankfully, they complied twice in this scenario already. Another actually managed to crawl to the hatch and escape still.

That's pretty ridiculous for the situation. Slugging is annoying af but it seems to me this Dr was using it as a strategic point? I cannot 100% tell but it looks like there are people alive and he is probably trying to lure them in. Which is a pretty dirty way to play but it is what it is. Does not justify that level of anger. If that Dr had slugged for literally no reason and just left them to bleed out and shocked the ground over her to troll I can see being annoyed, not THAT level of annoyance to be clear. If he was trolling he would have deserved the curse of "may every beer you try to drink be warm" or "I hope the next time you get a pepsi it is actually filled with soy sauce". But never death threats, people need to remember we do not know who is on the other end how do you know it is not a very depressed 10 year old who makes a heartbreaking decision because this was essentially the straw that broke the camels back. It is dangerous for them and you to be so recklessly hateful. I once played a match with a random who at pre-game was saying some very distressing things I am talking things that eluded to suicide. I tried talking with them in the short minute and I have never tried so hard to make sure another surv had a good game in my life. We all got out and at end game the killer was salty said some super nasty things to her. She left, I tried friend requesting her to talk to her let her know someone cared. But she never took the request it has honestly haunted me ever since I think about it all the time and I hope she is ok I really hope what the killer said did not push her over the edge. Moral of the story, you just do now know what people are going thru. People need to re-evaluate themselves it is wholly heartbreaking thinking about how people do not care about others enough to stop and reign in their anger.

These people those times during cod were horrible and just a pain to hear there were times I had to mute the mics because of how toxic it really was and leave matches and take breaks. Like understand the rage and swearing dang you some 9 year old saying they whatever you mom etc but it was far worse then just that. It is as you said just over pixels on a screen a game that has no real prize or really anything then just oh you won or loss. It's not that big of deal. I also want to congratulate you on getting affiliated on twitch partnered up. The thing is the past is past we need grow as people and move on from what was and not become worse because I feel in some cases the dead by daylight community is almost the same as the cod or even LOL the amount of behaviour is horrendous and people who think it is okay is sad. This kinda stuff makes me nervous to do any kind of streaming or anything because of how over seriously people take a video game. but all things considered honestly you deserve this achievement/new milestone you got :)

People have weird thresholds for what’s tame or not. Normal people don’t curse, whine, and complain over a video game for over 5 minutes. But there’s some people who were raised in households where screaming matches are normal, therefore they call everyone else soft.

I completely agree with you, Aaron. I stay away from Twitter because I don't have the time and it feels like nothing but arguments. As far as slugging for four minutes, it makes me angry, but not that kind of angry. I get upset that I'm basically sitting on the ground doing nothing except gathering xp (which I'd gather anyway in an otherwise normal match). It'll ruin my night, but I'll get over it. There's no need for extremes like this person espoused, and for people defending that, they need to really take a look in the mirror and see if that's the hill on which they wanna die. Back to slugging: I've had to do it in a couple of matches. It was always one of those bully squads who take you places like Mount Ormond and immediately chase you to the lockers and hop in. You know exactly what they're doing. So instead of falling for that, I would wait or find someone else, then start downing, knowing they're all gonna be swarming and armed with Unbreakables. Then you keep downing them and keep them on the ground. It isn't fun. Not for them, not for me, and it feels horrible after. It always ruins my night, but I'm also not someone who's gonna disconnect from a match. I shouldn't have to. And clearly I make the choice to slug them to death, but they make it impossible to play an otherwise typical game. What's a Killer supposed to do? But then there's those who slug immediately because they can, and that feels bad for a different reason. I dunno.
To end this on a positive note, congrats on the check mark! That's a big deal.

First I like to say congratulationson ur twitch partner 🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏 u deserve it I've been seeing a lot of your videos and I'm glad their are people pointing out the stuff they see when they make videos and have their thoughts on it and everything else u do 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The moment I saw Twitter in the title I was like oh no oh heck oh sh oh fk cause that's where the dbd territories are and by that I mean the very very very very too sensitive ones like I myself I would just love too speak my mind but it's the fact that if I were too say something I'm a just get talked about but I wouldn't care cause one ur speaking out and just telling ur options and some honest truth and it's like a crime when we do that like bruh the folks on Twitter can lie to themselves if they like but u seriously can't be that sensitive over someone speaking their thoughts like too me ik some of the Twitter dbd folks would love too say something other then being the toxic type but they can't so they just make it into an upset thing or whatever lol
It's also not surprising some would be like oh I used too watch this person but I don't cause if this and that people just don't like hearing or seeing the truth
What else oh yea those who are like they was in the right too be mad like that idk why they think that's a good idea especially if they are streaming the game
I understand survivors hate the slugs ok we get it u hate it u don't want to be left on the ground u rather be picked up most the time u rather be by pallets or in Open areas for those flashlight saves etc when ur Saying these angry words when u don't like something u clearly just say something random and just unacceptable that ur chat hears u saying it and if u can't understand why they slug u survivors ur just seriously not trying too understand anything and I've said this many times u ready
KILLERS AREN'T THAT DUMB ANYMORE SOME COULD BE BUT NOT ALL THE TIME YES THEY WERE ONCE LIKE WHAT WHAT DO WE DO HOW WE AVOID THIS WELL KILLERS ARE PLAYING CERTAIN WAYS TO MAKE THINGS EASY FOR THEM. BECAUSE U SURVIVORS BE STRESSING THEM OUT YES U GET STRESS TOO BUT IF I HAD TBH KILLERS GET STRESS MORE CAUSE THEY HAVE TO CHASE U A LOT AND HOOK U AROUND AND OTHER THINGS.
YOU GET MAD CAUSE U THINK KILLERS WILL LET U USE UR DS AND ETC SOMETIMES THEY WILL BUT NOT ALL THE TIME AND THEY LEAVE U SLUG AS BAIT AS IN THEY LURE SURVIVORS TO COME GET U SO THE KILLERS DONT HAVE TO RUN AROUND A LOT ITS CALL PRESSURE.
sighs when people start saying stuff like if this person not a 7 year old I'm a stab them or their Mom should've abort them not only that's fk up but seriously unnecessary too say and people who defend or say I think they had their head in the correct way so saying if this isn't a 7 year old I'm stab them and these things u say talk about people ur no better then anyone for the years people who have play this game and yet still just does this over a game that has the same things u will face endlessly is just something that's so freaking old that u should be like aww well it happens they probably won't pick me up cause I have Ds maybe they know or don't and will eventually pick me up I hope etc etc etc.
.....................I can't express the feelings I have too people that gets mad at videogames like this and it's not even cod and yes I've seen how cod was I never played it but I've watched CZcamsr play the games and like they say the more and most horrifying stuff over a game and it's kill or be killed by whatever u have brought as a gun in the game or whatever u play on there
I'm just saying that I just wish this game can just have fun no matter what happens cause there will be games where u get slug camp and tunnel out even if u get sacrifice chances if u did an amazing job and all gens almost done they get 3k wins for Survivors as also the 0k-1k a lost 2k a tie and 3k-4k wins and if u wanted too escape then try harder if u must u can be chill but if ur in need to escape then just do whatever you can to let it happen
At the end of the day u can't be saying this stuff if ur this mad and also if anyone who plays a playstation of whatever that person was on I swear u will be worse then this streamer and I'd u know them I'm sorry but they shouldn't be telling u too do that I get u like them but u got too just stop and think about what they said over the same stuff that happens in the game u will get slug u will get camp and tunnel out if they must not caring about how u feel killers aren't ur teammates they don't have too pick u up or anything unless they are force too for certain reasons maybe of their perks they could run on blah blah blah blah

i think its a weird take to say you shouldnt be getting mad at game because youre “a grown adult”. having a natural response to something frustrating isn’t childish. to go as far as telling your chat to harass someone because you’re frustrated, yeah thats childish and toxic. but youre allowed to get mad at a game. my friends and i in a heated moment insult each other and fellow players, i think it’s easier to tell that while we’re frustrated we are just joking, of course, but its still a normal reaction. this person though…. they obviously went way too far lol
