@Dustin Lee hes referring to where in the they fight. In WW1 you might spend a year fighting over the same couple hundred feet. In revolution times they'd just meet up somewhere like it was a sporting event. Now they can paradrop a couple hundred troops into an area just to have them retreat 20 miles. There isn't always a clear front where you use to be able to draw clear lines and zones.

The NATO Alliance/Treaty basically commits every member nation to war.
They market themselves as peace keepers but NATO’s track record leaves much to be desired. Their history sordid. Basically a replacement for the League of Nations after WW II.
NATO added 14 countries to their group since 1999. Many of them former Soviet States. Many governments who joined were “paid off” with lavish IMF loans debt forgiveness for their membership. NATO then built bases in these countries, with American, British, and French troops dressed in white helmets.
On another topic; our FedGov is just as corrupt as most every other national government, maybe worst than most because of the economic power they posses for now. Either way, governments are not benevolent, they all use Force for compliance. ✌🏽

No way. Taiwan is very different from Ukraine. Ukraine's terrain is very favorable for attackers. It is flat and mostly empty. Taiwan is the opposite. It is an island for one, meaning that attackers must make an amphibious assault (not a cake walk). Taiwan is also extremely mountainous and developed. The entire western side of the island is essentially one continuous cityscape. Invasion would be a nightmare. Tibet is similarly impossible to invade, at least from the south. The Himalayas make troop movements unfeasable. Even the few navigable roads through the region are too exposed. If a few tanks get taken out, then the entire column is screwed.
Maybe I'm not up to date with this stuff, but why would India take Nepal? I thought Nepal and India were on good terms?

Russian president says his country will never accept a world order which is headed by one single government.
Vladimir Putin on Saturday said Moscow will oppose a unipolar world order where an undisputed leader imposes his own will on the world.
“There’s an attempt to disguise the current world order that has taken shape over the past few decades after the collapse of the Soviet Union, a world order that is headed by one undisputed leader who wants to remain such,” Putin told a congress of the Independent Trade Unions Federation of Russia in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi.
Putin was clearly lashing out at the United States, which is currently at loggerheads with Russia over the armed conflict in east Ukraine.
He said that Russia will never be satisfied with a world system in which only things are allowed that meet the interests of an “undisputed leader.”
“A leader who assumes that everything is allowed to him but others only need what he allows them and what meets his own interests. Russia will never be satisfied with this kind of world order,” Putin added.
Sanctions will fail
Meanwhile, Putin admitted that the current US-led sanctions on Russia have harmed the country but added that such measures will never achieve their goals. Emphasizing that sanctions will ultimately benefit no one, Putin said, “They definitely can’t be effective against a country such as ours, though they do cause us certain damage and harm, and we should realize this.”
Putin added that Russia is not at war and does not want a war, adding that attempts have been made to curb the development of Russia.
“We don’t plan to fight a war with anyone, we plan to cooperate with everyone,” he said.
Russia has been hit by several rounds of Western sanctions over the crisis in Ukraine, although the restrictive measures have backfired on the economy of the European countries.
The armed conflict in east Ukraine has claimed the lives of more than 5,300 people according to the estimates made by the United Nations. Western governments keep accusing Russia of supporting the armed militancy against the Ukrainian government. Moscow denies the charges, saying Kiev must stop the suppression of the ethnic Russian population in the area.

Watching this a year later and got to say I am pleasantly surprised at just how well Ukraine has performed, yes they have been supplied with lots of weapons but even before all that military aid poured in they basically stopped the Russian invasion in its tracks. They are still not safe because Russia is a huge place and can lose so many soldiers and still replace them that being said I really hope that the amount of machinery they have lost along with the financial cost might persuade Putin to look for a way out.
