#TheBeachBoys # RoyalPhilharmonicOrchestra #SloopJohnB - Hudba
Been waiting 40 years for this. I’m 68 and 50 years ago in high school I thought it would be cool to have violins backing the beach boys. Superb, great, long overdue. I love it love it love it.
I appreciate the hard work that went into this many microphones, many headphones, a lot of work.
oh mine))) I'm so happy with you man!
I'm 67, my nick name and my license plate is SLOOPJB I've been a fan since '64 when my big brother introduced me to the best sounds on vinyl and the transistor radio, and I love this new album. Thanks Boys 😎
sloop51 ..lol...same here loved them since 1964...67 🇳🇿 NZ
2019
Sloop John B is iconic, but when you back it with the FULL Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, WOW!!!! It's AMAZING!!!!!
with a such orchestra this song become a masterpiece !!!
I am 74 in the eighth grade I was listening to The Beach Boys in the Bay Area, San Francisco. Even at that time I thought it would be great to have more violins or more music behind their voices 60 years later it’s there :-)
74 in the eighth grade? Time to move up, Blinko, you're sixty years behind the rest of the world.
I went to a Beach Boys concert in Manchester (England) when I was 18/19 & 20 years later my kid's wanted me to play B-B tapes in the car. I'm now 70 but you can't not love classical B-B.
That an orchestra takes on a Beach Boys song is proof positive of the complexity, depth and intricacy of the song writing of these guys. They were always more than a contemporary music band, they were geniuses.
The beach boys are a great group of musicians, i dont wanna take away from that! But they didnt write this song, its a traditional bahamian folk song that they recorded with their own twist!
Too bad they couldnt agree on genre and split into 2 groups. Mike love has one group and Brian Wilson and Al Jardine have the other group called Brian Wilson and friends. They reunited for 50th reunion in 2012 then for this London Philharmonic recording session in 2018. Still split the next day after. Shame......seems groups do that alot. Sad.🎶🎤🎶

Genius* singular, not plural
Brian Wilson* is a genius. You can't call Mike Love a genius and expect to be taken seriously.
It's wonderful to hear the vocal harmonies so clearly, and the orchestra do a nice job too!
D.B. Martin f
The royal philharmonic is always a plus to hear as an added element to both classical & modern compositions.
I got the rare privilege of seeing the Beach Boys.. The Moody Blues came to my home town and they had the Detroit Symphony with them was so beautiful to hear that I still get chills thinking about it.
This is my favorite Beach Boys song and it's just so much more amazing with the orchestra!
Kingston Trio did it first, but I bet they love this arrangement too! I really like what Dennis Wilson did with "Bluebirds over the Mountain" too.
@Spn Superjunkie Thanks, I am corrected.
Mine too and I admire the orchestra!
@@tomlynntigard they actually made the some from a 1920s poem. Brian Wilson heard their version and made this song. The trios version is a very basic song. Brian Wilson made it a extremely sophisticated, and it became a classic.
I like it for obvious reasons. As a small kid, I thought this song was about me lol
Sensational, Brian’s genius shines through.
Yes! They left the "ooo yea yea" in at the end! I love it.
I love that almost every musician has a visible smile on their faces...and I doubt it's because they're on camera...this song/album is probably awesome to play with a full size orchestra....I would love to see this live.
The orchestra members seem to be really enjoying this, too!
surely yes !!!
Didn't care for them in the 60's or 70's, love them now. Great work LPO!
One of my two fav BB Songs ….luv the orchestra ❤️❤️
The oldest version of this song that I’ve ever heard was recorded in 1935. It’s on CZcams and it’s just amazing the huge difference that great musicians and production and arrangement can make to the same chord changes the same melody and the same words.
One of the most extreme divergences of any two songs you’ll ever hear with the possible exception of when the levee breaks by zeppelin versus the original of that song
Oh my god, it's Bill Strange's 12 String Guitar, I knew something was missing from the cd version! He's probably smiling from heaven!
Wow, this is great. I've been obsessed with this song lately, it is so freaking catchy!
its really humbling pairing this two as one, very brilliant unique , privileged ohhh ACE music
Never get tired of listening to this 🎼🎺🎻
Brian, your music stands up very well, to the test of time. Brilliant!
One word WOW😭😭😂
Gives me goosebumps. Can’t even put into words how wonderful this is. Amazing.
This is the BEST trip I've ever been on!
This is by far the very best arrangement of the Beach Boys Sloop John B. Way to go Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, love this so much!
Chills...literal chills omg
Best band of all time!!!!
You are so right, I can listen to this and enjoy so very much 😊.
Our school band wasn’t a patch on the Royal Philharmonic - but Sloop John B was our most requested piece. This takes me back 35 years to those times ❤
Wow, didn't think this song could be improved on. But what an outstanding job the orchestra background did for this song. Bravo !
Incredible!!!!!
I agree. Whoever compose this is a genius. You have to understand all the instruments what they what sound they can put out and how to arrange each note. Wow.
Totally amazing!!!
Haa, ha ! Crossing the street at Abbey Road with a surfboard ! Koool ! This really blew me away. It's so beautiful. Always loved the Brian version (It's really an old folk song) and I love singing along whenever I play it in my car. Oh, yeah . . .
What's cool is the Beach Boys were walking towards the studio. The Beatles were walking away.
Amazing. Brian's genius deserves this.
Just saw The Beach Boys play in Edmonton two weeks ago. I am so jazzed to get this double LP on August 15th.
Just impressive. The beach boys always were unique in harmony but the Phil Harmonic gave this talent a New meaning. Very impressive.
Now this is a WALL OF SOUND!!
Fantastic love this and Elvis Roy great 👍

High school memories to sweet to remember

that was BEAUTIFUL! the strings with their intro, the french horns and the trombones toward the end. wow my favorite beach boys tune is even better now...even with my a-hole neighbor and his router destroying the silence.
Outstanding
Awesome
I AM SPEECHLESS< WITH OUT WORDS TO GIVE JUSTICE TO THIS PERFORMANCE" PERFECTION"
I have loved this song ever since I heard it over 40 years ago!
this is amazing!!!!!!
Fantastic always enjoyed a much under appreciated band
SUPER!!!
I LOVE THE BEACH BOY'S
This is great ! Amazing. I remember dancing to this at a Christmas party in High school right after it came out. Believe it or not, one of the band members was playing it on an electric accordion . ( At the time, I didn't realize one was made. . That Instrument had a very large cord coming out of it (maybe 1.5 inches in diameter . It really made the music sound great, and the musician was excellent I thought.
Damn Royal ! You Rock !
Super bueno ...!!!
The smiles on their faces.
Beautiful ❤
The music is just AWESOME!!!
High school memories to sweet to remember
This is totally sublime. The complex original arrangement by Brian Wilson coupled with the addition of this orchestra is magnificent. Neat idea.
Stunning
The orchestra must have had a total blast doing these!
I love this song! And the orchestra is incredible! Wormwood! Made my night! ❤
I love it! I mean this song is just perfect boy! I got no words for this performance is just perfect ,🌱🍃👌🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸❤️

Amazing
Brilliant! 👏❤🌹
Our air boss used to play this song when we finally got orders to return to San Diego. I will never forget that. CV-64, VA-165 - go Boomers.
I have waited 45 years for this.
Joyful Music at its best.
Great. Great 👍 🎉
I really enjoyed this version of one of my favorite songs. The horn arrangements are particularly beneficial to this song. Great recording too.
Very very nice!!!
I was 12 years old when this was released and have enjoyed it and Pet Sounds ever since.
Outer banks had this song in their trailer. I haven't heard the Beach Boys in years. Now add in an orchestra? 10 seconds in and I get chills!
WOW!!
Brilliant
Very clever. Pure magic
True musicians all!!
For my brother and his lovely sailing vessel the sloop SEA HORSE!
Wow!! Tremendous job!!
Makes me smile.😊
Maravilloso
They really look like they are enjoying themselves... That what music does to people... 2020 Costa del Sol
Cool❤❤❤
great sound, 👍👍👍👍👍
BEACH BOYS FOREVER
This is the best !
I almost agree w/ Thomas Davis... The Flutes and Drums are not better here than Brian's studio arrangement... Still it's a different twist. Interesting.
Unbelievable!
Genius
I believe this is how Brian visualized every Beach Boys songs being played.
You are exactly correct! When he brought the music to Capitol Recording Execs he asked for a full orchestra. They thought he was mad. True genius is seldom understood much less appreciated in its lifetime. If this doesn’t solidify Brian Wilson as the greatest musical talent of our time then I don’t know what will.
His wife to their kids ( paraphrase ) " your father is kinda a musical genius but he has problems"😊😊
The "Sloop John B" is the greatest song recorded by the Beach Boys. Followed by "California Girls" and then "Good Vibrations". If I put some quarters in the jukebox baby, that's what I'd play and in that order. I still haven't spotted Mike Love at the Incline Village Raley's, but I salute him for dodging any California Tax he can.
As a lifelong BB fan, I don't think I could pick my top 10 BB songs never mind a top 3.😊
❤❤
Oh what I wouldn't do to hear THE orchestra play this live. Thinking about it gives me chills
The strong horns section is great
