Really truly amazing song this guy just the Beach boys alone but this guy this song at this time he did was an iconic classic for sure what a beautiful song he did yeah I'll be a fan of the Beach boys for the rest of my life and always for the 60s was one of the best errors to set up the seventies and eighties after that I have no idea what happened but I'll tell you I was proud and honored to be a part of the 60s 70s and the 80s play the best music in the whole world and the actors in movie stars and actresses from those three decades you can't replace and you never will especially the music you can't replace that's why I'm glad it's recorded❤

Great to see David Marks in the frame. In a lot of documentaries about the Beach Boys he barely gets a mention if any.

This track blew me away when I first heard it. 1976 I was 8 years old and we were at school watching a film about American culture and a guy was skateboarding and I get around was being played over it. The harmonies just got me. From that day on I have loved the sound, specially the genius Brian.

The difference between the Beatles and the Beach Boys --- except for their harmonies, most or virtually all of the instruments on Beach Boy records were played by the famous Wrecking Crew. Beatles played their own instruments. On "I Get Around" it's Hal Blaine on drums and Glen Campbell and Ray Pohlman on guitars and bass, with other Wrecking Crew members. And also Brian Wilson wrote all the music for the songs, with lyrics by Mike Love and others.

The reality is they have about 8 really good songs . Carol Cain and Hal Blane and Glen Campbell are my favorite beach boys. oh and Uncle Jessie . The beach boys are not much different than the Monkees .Brian was a great talent till he fucked himself up with dope .

The version in the 50th Anniversary tour where the instruments stop and they do that one section of pure voice harmony is absolutely incredible

Rumors are not confirmed that the band's original name was the Paul Bunyons, The Beach Woodsmen although there seems to be many testimonials about the Beach Woodies. The invoices for their choreography lessons were also not found.
