Roger Waters is not a puppet of Putin. Roger just accepted the invitation of Russia to present his view on the War in Ukraine in the United Nations. He made a brilliant, very moving speech, calling all sides to pursue an immediate ceasefire to stop the senseless war and killings on all sides. What is wrong with this? No politician or state representative in the U.N. hasn't been capable of proposing this so far. So we can thank Roger that there is still a voice capable of acting for global peace these days. His speech follows all the work he did with Pink Floyd and solo.

In Waters' UN speech, he said he didn't agree with the Russian Administration invading Ukraine, but he also said that the Russian Admin was provoked by NATO and the US Biden,Ukraine Zelenski, EU and UK Administrations. So he is saying that all parties are responsible for the War and they all should negotiate diplomatically for peace because we the people (which Waters says he represents our voices) don't want Nuclear War because it will be the end for us all
(except maybe the wealthy elite and powerful who will be procreating in their underground bunkers and willing to sacrifice the masses). Real Dr Strangelove stuff.

Everyone should just go and listen to the speech. It’s not very long and you will hear for yourself what Roger says, on behalf of “the unheard majority”. He calls the invasion of Ukraine illegal right to the face of the Russian representative, denounces the war in “the strongest possible way” and calls for an immediate end to the war, addressing Putin directly by name.

Suggesting a ceasefire is eerily close to a model of the Korean armistice, effectively sealing Russia"s land grab. He should have demanded a full withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine, if he deems it illegal.
