I ordered mine cause of y'all. Thanks for the vid!
Thank you!
awesome video!!!! can't wait for more!!!!
Thank you!
New to the channel, but absolutely love your content. I know this is super random but what kind of lighting do you have in your garage? That's like "shop" lighting. Lol. Keep up the great work, m8
Thank you! I forget the name but I purchased the lights from obsessed garage
The drop in air filters work better but this maybe would sound better
Yeah intakes don’t do a whole lot on this platform
Babe wake up, Phelps garage posted
I’m gonna try and post every Saturday 😅
@@phelpsgarage4202 I look forward to that
Now it need Perrin Inlet hose to complete it
I’m waiting for it 😎
Any reason you don’t run the skid plate under the engine? Or did you just not throw it back on for the glamor shots
Waiting on doing a splitter
Does the air intake head section need to be replaced if it is dirty?
Replaced no. I’m just going to treat it like a K&N filter. Just rinse it off and dry it, put a little bit of filter oil on it and call it a day.
What kind of exhaust system do you have because i was planning to get new headers
JDL uel header 3 inch over/ front pipe with HKS single exit exhaust
Personally, I do not find cold air intakes really do much compared to what they cost. The minimal, if at all, improvement in performance is very questionable. There are also concerns that they change how the computer is tuned for the car.
I agree with you on that.
Is there any chance of that intake taking in water during a strong rain storm or car wash?
I would say no. Plus the stock air intake inlet is in the same position
Hi, I have this one in my car (previous owner installed it). How do we clean and oil the cone filter? Can we use K&N air filter recharge kit? Thank you.
That’s what I’m gonna do
@@phelpsgarage4202 please make a video of it, haven't found it on youtube 😁
@@agaprimasto8710 the car is about to have a turbo so I’m getting rid of this intake
Did you run into any problems running rich/lean? Causing you to Rescale MAF?
Good question.. Not 100% sure still waiting for a retune
@@phelpsgarage4202 Thanks, I just got mine but im running open flash OTS stage 2+ e85 tune. I've heard that while running Perrin Intake that we might need to rescale MAF while running e85 tune. I guess it can mess with AFR causing car to run too rich or too lean idk. Depends on if you have the 2.75" or 3" version of this CAI. A lot of mixed reviews and discussions, Shiv Said The 2.75" CAI should be fine since thats the stock/standard size. Idk what to do lol
@@elizabethcarmona824 do you have a BRZ or a WRX?
13 brz
So you gotta remove the bumper to clean the filter?
Every time.
Did you notice any throttle response improvement?
My car is tuned so it’s already really good…maybe to good. The car sounds deeper and I’m sure it did help, but nothing crazy.
@@you_can_fuck_your_own_ass_69 basically, it’s now super touchy with the tune.
You'll probably run lean with that intake if you don't get a custom tune
according to their website description, you dont need a tune, but they may be mistaken
Yeah waiting for a retune
sorry for the dumb question but is it the same process for the brz?
Yeah I’m sure
ty so much@@phelpsgarage4202
@@Av4nQuisH you bet!
Hey did it help w hp?
If it did, it wasn’t much. I’ll know more once I go back to the dyno.
Do I need a tune after installing this?
Nope! But I’m sure it would help maximize the setup
Now you will need to remove the bumper every time you want to clean or replace the air filter. NO THANK YOU!!! Get that junk out of here.
Yes, unfortunately you do. Knowing what I know based off of the logs that I’ve seen on the Dyno I would go with a K&N.
@@phelpsgarage4202k&n CAI or just a drop in filter? Debating between this and just a drop in. I plan to get it tuned if I get a CAI.
@@randphillips4921 I mainly did it to decrease the under hood pressure and make the hood vent more efficient. I don’t think you’re going to see any real power that you can feel on the street so if it was me just do a drop in air filter.
