- I want to thank everyone in the art community for the love and prayers. Some may say I don't owe this story, but I disagree. You have followed me and prayed for my family when I needed it the most. You deserve the last chapter and this is it. Due to the length I split this into 4 parts. It will explain everything as it happened. I'll be uploaded every other day this week.

I'm so sorry for your loss. After everything you went through with him and his health issues to lose him over someone's idiotic mistake. I'm a paramedic and worked in EMS for 20 years. This is completely unacceptable. I cried through the video. Someone needs to be held accountable for his death and you deserve so much more justice than can ever be given. Love, prayers, and strength.

Oh Lori, I am just heartbroken listening to this. I cannot begin to imagine what this ordeal has been like and still is for you. I’m 48 and way back when I was 12 my father died in the emergency room waiting room of a hospital in NYC due to gross incompetence. I do understand the anger that comes with something like this. Ok first I want to just HUG you!!! And I've only heard your 1st video. I lost both my parents at a very young age, my mom was 55 & dad was 59. I can not imagine the strength it has taken you to do these videos! He was your beloved husband ❤️. Your such an inspiration to so many of us here on CZcams, you kept me sane through covid lockdown of 2020 and on top of that taught me some great coloring skills! Grief is a very personal thing, we each feel it differently.....but ALL of us are sending you & your family love, prayers and hope. You have made me laugh so hard at times watching your videos, it may not seem like it today or even tomorrow, but laughter is incredibly healing. I do know. I had a heavy feeling before telling the story. By the time I got to part 4 I felt much lighter. Also it's a lesson for people too. May the mistake never be made again.

I so SORRY. My husband passed March7. 🌹🙏🙏🙏 ive had you in my prayers as your husband was sick while mine was. My husband had a long battle with colon cancer. that went to his lungs and Brain. i have no idea what im going to do with myself now. i will continue to keep you in my prayers 🙏🙏🙏🌹

No I am not calmer than you would be. I am just still in shock. Wait until anger kicks in. Today was the first day I had enough mental power to contact a Lawyer. The mistake they made cost us dearly. We get angrier as the days go on and the realization he would have been here sets in. I still feel like I am in the twilight zone. My Husband's best friend and a very close family friend are going to make sure my anger stays where it needs to be.

@@Colorista_1 And now you know why I needed a month before I could even talk about it. It's not dominating my life. I just try to keep the anger away by not talking about it. Now I have to because I have to go to a Lawyer.

@@ColorMyWorld I'm glad to hear that you're taking steps. "Unacceptable" doesn't even come close to covering it. I'd be in a blind rage. I honestly wish there was something I could do to help, but all I can do is pray. Prayer is powerful, though. ❣️

I literally started following you a week or so ago, but saw you had this happen from your comments... I'm so sorry. I can't imagine your pain. You don't need to explain or apologize for your absence. As a fellow Jewish woman, I know our faith doesn't believe in a heaven or hell, but just the way you talk about your husband I feel like he is in a wonderful place where he isn't in anymore pain. I hope you can remember the good times you all had and find the path to healing your pain. ❤

I am so so sooo sorry for your loss! I watched all your videos we he first started feeling bad, and I followed all the steps, and I was so happy when he was finally home. I came across this video now, and I feel devastated. This is heartbreaking. Loosing someone that is a part of ourselves is the most terrible thing to go through. I feel for you and I wish you can heal and have people to rely on from here on.
I am so so very sorry for your loss. What a sad story. I just lost my father on June 26th in a similar sudden flukey way and its just been so difficult to process so I feel like, to some degree, I know what you're going through. And for that reason, my heart breaks for you and your family. I know you loved him. Its obvious by the way you speak of him. And I am sure he knew as well. Try to take comfort in that. Take time for yourself and try to heal and find the light in your life again. It takes time, but you'll find it. We both will. God bless you Lori.
That is just awful, that a doctor or the hospital could screw up so badly. It’s bad enough he has struggled with his health for so long. My hear goes out to you. Thank you for sharing what you’ve been going through, it takes a lot of strength to retell/relive that so soon and publicly like this. It made me smile to hear that you’ve been adopted by that sweet dog, she’s definitely decided you needed a “guardian angel in a fur coat”, and she’s probably being very attentive to your needs and hopefully providing a lot of comfort and friendship (and even some snuggles). I lost my husband in similar circumstances, so I feel all the sadness and anger and frustration and unfairness and regret (and understand the “what-if” loops your brain has gone through countless times over all the possible forks in the road along the way) about the loss of your husband and the pain and chaos your family have been thrown into. There’s not a concise way to put that other than maybe “I am so sorry, that f*cking sucks.” Still sending love and prayers your way. We all came for the coloring, most of us fell in love with the colorist, and we’ll be here for both types of content... so no rush to get back into trying to keep the YT logarithm happily fed. Howie reminded me so much of my own hubby of almost 50 years of marriage and the 4 years leading up to our wedding. Know that Howie is with you - and always will be in your heart and memories. Taking your time to grieve is critical, and know that you have the love of your family - especially your children to keep you from sinking too far. And all of your friends and thousands of students you have given you time to are here and will remain with you as you deal with the loss and once you’re ready dealing with the repercussions of the gross mishandling of his condition.
