Most impressed with that neat and even curve at the front of the plate. I'm reminded of the old saying "the devil is in the detail". I know it was a devil to make with just hand tools. Nicely done Mr Ness👍
As always a professional touch . This bike now has many options re your touring needs/requirements. So nice to hear you mention the personal touch. These bikes are fantastic for doing this.😊
Thanks Mark, lovely comments. Yes these wee bikes are so easy to personalise and make them fit into your life style. Your Meteor is testimony to that, it’s a gorgeous very personalised bike. Ride safe, hope to catch up again soon 👍
Nicely done. I've been looking for a suitable rack since I took off the back seat. Definitely have given me an idea about something different to put there, great job!
Now having 5 bikes, there's no need for major mods to the classic. I've added the S W Motech Legend bags, tankbag and rear rack. Also engine guards with Denali lights. Money well spent. Trying to keep it simple, but useable to me from an ice cream run to an overnighter. Looking forward to strangers comments- hopefully all positive. Lol. 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️
Really professional job there Ian, who needs a touring bike with that set up ? I have a pair of lomo bags that I used to do the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland on a Street Triple in 2019, gives me ideas for my Halcyon Green Classic, also with the same alloys as you have, a great addition not only in simple cleaning but even better handling with the tubeless tyres, fitted with right angle valves for easier pressure checking. 😊 Ps looks so much better without the screen 😊
I do like your modification to the back end Ian, good craftsmanship. Maybe given me a wee idea for Polly....hee hee. Bonchester Bridge this weekend ???
Beautifully done. I have something similar on my Meteor but not pretty enough to leave exposed and the top box supports my sagging back. For those who want one, eyeball the approximate circumference of that 5mm plate and realise every inch/cm has been hand cut, filed and polished. An enormous invent in manhours. Well done Ian. Lovely bit on work.
A very professionally crafted modification on your bike with a 'Bespoke' plate. Very handy for any extra bits of luggage, especially if you use an elasticated cargo net. 👍
Morning Ian 😊 another masterpiece 👍 I bought the screen for mine because I liked the look of your classic with it on, and I do like it on mine, but it is like a yoyo at the moment 👍
Hi, well done! I was thinking myself for some time in this direction. Just remove the pillion seat and use the existing Rock. No need to spend money for another special rack 😊 But I'm not a craftsman and I'm gonna ask a good friend to assist me in "copying" your fine designed sample 😍 Thank you again for your interesting video and enjoy the oncoming nice weather period. I will hit the road in an hour to complete the running in time today or tomorrow (2.000 km) Ride safe and take care 👋
That looks brilliant Ian, nice peice of engineering. I agree about the Givi top box, wouldn't look right on it but have you thought about a period style Craven? They still make them and I have one on my Classic. Look forward to more future videos.🙂👍
Thanks Jonathan Great to hear that you enjoyed the video 😁👍 I did buy a colour matched Craven top box for my Honda CB400/F a few years ago. The design hasn’t changes since my first one in the 70’s 🤣
Hi Robert Unfortunately there was only a single production run of one item, and it’s on my bike. The good news is that it’s not copyrighted so you’re free to make one just like it 🤣 Great to hear that you enjoyed the video 👍
The bags are SW Motech Legend Gear Side Bags. I have SW Motech mounting side carriers on my Bonneville and Classic 350 this allows me to use the same bags on both bikes. Hi Ian, you have done a grand job on that, the hole pattern is a nice touch. I am sure it will be copied by many RE Classic owners.
Thanks FWM

When can I order one?? As usual you’ve cracked it and came up with a practical and useful piece of kit.

Don’t know about the increase in sales, it’s most definitely a one off 🤣
