For anyone wondering, the onion isnt quite becoming transparent, I imagine is due to the thin film between the layers trapping a layer of air.
Was just gonna comment on that. A naturally hydrophobic surface causes a thin pocket of air to surround the onion, which then refracts the light, essentially reflecting the surfaces around it.
No it’s a texture glitch they’ll probably fix it in the next update

Same effect could be seen when you hold full glass (made of transparent glass) of water with dry and wet hands. If you look from above, you can't see dry fingers over the wall, but you can see your wet fingers. Refraction does magic :)

Ok about the onion, its not at all turning transparent, its hydrophobic so water is unable to touch it, because of this, its causing an air gap to form over the onion, making it LOOK transparent, but in reality its just an air gap

That onion wasn't becoming transparent, it was trapping air on its surface which makes it look silver, similar to the steel sink. Like silver camouflage :)

It was becooming transparent lol. The onion is translucid, but since it has an irregular surface and diferent refraction number (it has a name but i'm not really good at english so i dont know it) than air, since it contains air between it's layers, it cant show an image and ends up just being white since it is the color of the onion itself. Water's refraction number is much closer to the onion's, so the light goinc through is not distorted as much, and thus can at least show the color of the background.

The one about the man that had a stroke hugging his kid was so heartwarming. My stepdad had a stroke in 2016 or 2017 or so, and paralyzed his left side, he couldn't talk very clearly, his speech was slurred, and he couldn't walk. He remained strong and did what he could to recover. Now, he can talk much more clearly, walk perfectly fine, and move his left arm. He can even drive a car. I thought this might be interesting to someone, and I hope it motivates someone!
