One of the best “HOW TO” videos I’m recently viewed. Easily understandable and demonstrated. Gave me the extra confidence to start my first job. Well done.
After shampooing the carpet if you go over the whole room again with water only (no cleaning solution) it almost doubles the production of the machine. I’ve got the more expensive one, the stores near me didn’t have the other one in stock. It’s an impressive machine for sure.
I can safely say this is the best carpet cleaner I’ve ever used, I have the pro model. I’ve had 7 carpet cleaners in the past 7 years. None of them could last (mainly Hoover machines) however I got the pet pro and I love it, this are easily replaceable and simple to clean. We have a lot of dogs which is why I got the pet pro version so it could be easier to clean, also easier to replace the belts. I’m happy with this purchase. Owned it for about a year.
Thank you for this. And not embarrassing .. my fiancé and I have been amazed at how much carpets collect it’s crazy
That’s actually clumps of your carpet that you see on the floor. And it makes a huge difference that you can clean the front of it out. I have cleaned a lot of carpets in my day and those who have know how hard it is cleaning the cleaner after your done.
If you have new carpet..... for sure..... Older carpet and it's mostly pet and human hair. The majority of the "dirt" for most clean people is from fabrics and skin shedding and linking on to environmental waste (dust).
Great review. I was on the fence on this one and the purple one. I've always loved the ProHeat series of Bissell cleaners. Just purchased. Thank you.
Thank you for review. I'm going with this one over the more expensive "pro" purple one. Looks like this one will do the job just fine.
Thanks for this detailed review. I've been contemplating which of the several home use cleaners on the market to buy and I think this is the one to get!
Just used my new machine today for the 1st time. I will say it's powerful and our bedroom produced the same color dirty water as yours so, don't feel bad, life happens! I'm impressed at the suction I had with it. I do wish the holding tank's were bigger honestly but, not a deal breaker,.... just many more trip's back/forth to fill/empty. Heading off to our living room now and at 20ftx30ft of wall to wall carpeting, It'll take a while but looking forward to some nice result's! Oh, it actually removed a rust stain that was on our carpet when we moved in and my other 2 shampooer's couldn't take care of it! Was very impressed with that! I used the hand tool to clean it.
I agree with you that the fill/empty gets annoying :).
Great video! We used this on our furniture to clean up behind our dogs, ended up posting a video to show how dirty the water was. Really impressed with this unit so far.
Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Just got mine today and your instructions are appreciated!
Bought one today from Canadian Tire. Mine is red. It has 3 cleaning options, Max Clean, Deep Clean and easy clean. Mine only came with the upholstery nozzle hose. in the bag with the hose. I tried it only on our entrance carpet and it was gross. It got years of dirt out. I'll do it again to see if I can get out more. Looking forward to doing my whole house.
Great video. Just bought one, looking forward to getting it going
We bought a house and this was one of our first purchases. It literally changed the color of our basement carpet with how much it got up!!!
I bought this last month and haven't used it yet. I think I'll do the master bedroom this weekend...😃 Great review!
Kickass!!
I really appreciate that review, you have no idea. I was looking at that vacuum scared to even use it lol... thnx
You are very welcome! Let me know how it worked for you.
Thank you for this review. It was great!
Nice video very informative and answers every question I had, I just got this carpet cleaner from my son brand new he bought it and just bought a new house with all laminate floors so he never got to use it,, thanks for the info 👍🏼🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
RINSE! RINSE! RINSE!
Skimming comments, as well as video, no one mentions rinsing. If you leave shampoo in the carpet, it is soapy, attracting dirt and holding on to it, preventing vacuums from picking it up. Imagine what hair would feel like if we didn't rinse it out; Rinsing can also help the carpet softness return, as it prevents the stiffness of dried detergent/dirt, from being a problem.
So, you mean that to put only water and pass over again to rinse it?
I was wondering when he would show us how to rinse!
@@Luzangelicaolguin Sorry, just saw your question. Yes, and you'll rinse until the water sucked out is clear.
@@manestage5403 you don't know how to rinse.... Well, it's the same exact process but with no chemicals!!! 😂🤣😂
Thanks! I'm studying up to use this tomorrow. Thank you for the RINSE REMINDER! I GOT MINE PRE-OWNED FOR $75 TODAY. It looks brand new!
Super helpful, thank you!
Good job! I just purchased one.
Wow That's Clean I Use A Hoover Smart Wash It Works And Dose A Excellet Job And I Like The Dry Only Button On The Hoover Smart Wash
Our anniversary is coming up - I think I just found the perfect gift for my wife!
Great video! I’m sold!
Received mine today!
Thanks for the video.
Great video. Thanks ! Wasn’t sure if I should buy this or the Pet Pro that’s 50% more expensive ($301)
if you overlap the cleaner too as you push forward , when you pull back and have the option to do another run, over lap the cleaning brushes so you get a smooth look to the carpet .
Great video hey I have this machine and the succión doesn’t work anymore any suggestions on what I should do can it be the belt ?any suggestions would be great thank you .
I just bought one of these yesterday. Hope it lasts longer than my last Bissell
I also have a light gray carpet, 2 dogs and a cat.. The guys that laid the carpet said that it's better to at least wear socks because the oils from your feet get on the carpet, it's like a magnet to collect dust, dirt etc.. That is something that I would have never thought about .
I have never heard that! I guess it makes a little bit of sense - but who has oily feet?!
Everyone
Good review 👍
...great video but still not clear how to operate...is it right when I push that handle when go forward and release shampoo on a carper and when let go that handle when going back? It means that I go forward I release hot water and shampoo and when going back I take that dirty water out of carpet?
@MrGizmo211 So after taking off the front bottom part, I still see the brushes and the plastic was nasty. I upturn it and try the wash out the brushes. Did I just damage it???? Too scare to put it back on.
Don't you hate it when you put up a video and you use the wrong tool, or use it wrong and don't realize it until much later? The nozzle cleaning tool is the other end of the long plastic thing, it's the part with the two hooks on the end. You used the brush cleaner to clean out the nozzle. I've found that it works very well when you use the right end!
good vid ordered it lets see how it goes
Sounds good. Let me know what you think of it.
Don’t blame that dirt on those kids. Believe it or not, that’s just dust.
With 3-4 people and a dog, you’re lucky it’s not worse.
Upping your furnace filter game helps a bit.
Thanks for the video.
Good point :)
Can it be used as a vacuum on tiles and carpet or it is only washer??
Just bought this from Amazon. arrives in 3 days. cant wait to see how good it is
How did it do?
@@MrGizmo211 pretty good. Deep clean sure does use a lot of product.
@@southernrailfanning5516 yes it does! It cleans - but isn’t cheap.
So this type of vacuum is only for deep cleaning carpets? Its not basically a "daily" type of vacuum? In the video you said need to vacuum the floor before you start. Did you use the bissel x2 pet or did you use a different vacuum first then used the x2 pet for deep cleaning. Basically my main question is do i need 2 different vacuums or can this x2 pet do a reg vacuum (just sucking w no solution involved) and then whenever i need to, once in a while, get stains spills deep cleaning w the solution.
I just purchased this for 169.00 on Amazon (not bad) I haven't received it yet. Thats why I'm watching reviews. I was gonna get the pet pro but seeing the only differences were the spot spray (I can spot spray myself lol) other then that everything appeared to be the same. Glad I found this video, was a big help in helping me feel like I made a good choice. Thank u for the review. Is yours still working out? Have an Amazing Week
Yes - ours is working out great. With kids and a dog it is worth the money.
@@MrGizmo211 awesome, I can't wait too receive it hopefully tomorrow fingers crossed lol. Thank u for responding Have an Amazing Weekend
@@jennifermello5993 you are very welcome!
the spot sprayer model comes apart much easier by the brittles to more efficiently clean the entire head.
Cleaner tank leaks on mine. Am I supposed to fill the cleaner and water in place?
Curious if you have tried it on stairs yet....if so, how was it?
this thing seems like a great carpet cleaner not top of the line but very good for home carpet cleaners the only thing i find dumb is they didint just let you take the top plastic peice off of the nozzle but the tool to clean it still does decent
Agreed - cleaner is a pain
I got one what is the hose on the bottom for?
Just got mine today what if I only wanna clean 1 accident that my dog did pee on 1 spot do I have to fill up the water with 2.5 oz solution??? Can I save the water and solutions in the clean tank?
vacuum before you use your carpet cleaner! I love my Bissel!
Does this help reduce allergies ??
My Husband just bought this for me. Put it together yesterday and hoping to use today! What is the ratio of liquid pulled back up from carpet, verses what was originally filled into the tank?
My problem with other shampooers is, not even half the amount of clean water and shampoo that was put down on the carpet, gets pulled back out of the carpet and that is a HUGE problem in and of itself...especially when cleaning up pet messes.
Just bought my second bosses. The new one doesn’t mention rinsing the carpet. Do I rinse??
Most of the time they recommend rinsing the carpet to remove as much chemical as possible.
Good one
Does this machine heat the water for cleaning/steam? Or does it at least have a heating element to keep hot tap water hot?
It does not
I have a yellow one that 50 dollars cheaper and looks exactly like yours with the same name... so im guessing its the same... we love ours
Thank you for the review
if it says 2X revolution without the spot sprayer, it is. They have at least 10 different model numbers and 20+ color in this 15XX series and they're all exactly the same..... Some have different attachments requested by different chains at different price points for different consumers and so they don't have to compete and price match, etc.
How did you remove the plastic front piece? Mine is just cracking, trying to get it off, and I'm afraid I'm going to break it 🥺
This model you can’t remove it. They give you a plastic piece to help clean it.
@@MrGizmo211
But didn’t you do that very thing @6:30?
@@dadduorp there’s 2 pieces of plastic, he removed the top
There's 8 screws you need to remove to get the entire head apart..... it's easier to just clean out from below with that tool, a scissors and your fingers..... the best time to do that is when it's dry and before actually cleaning the carpet so you can suck up all the nasty little bits from the procedure that aren't easily picked up with your fingers after cleaning it out.
Btw... its also dust balls that you are picking up
you can detach the front clear plastic that you were sticking the cleaning tool into .I usually place mine in the bath and then detach all the pieces i need to , plus there always seems to be a little run off of water that comes from somewhere inside .lol
How?? I just got this and I’m at a loss for how to remove the that piece it seems to be screwed in
Only if you have the more expensive pro version.
@@ashley1097 The part that sucks in all that gunk comes off the top via the area were you insert the hose attachment..... the area on top of the bristles is still enclosed in plastic and it's easier to just clean out with that tool, a scissors and your fingers..... the best time to do this is when it's dry and before actually cleaning the carpet so you can suck up all the nasty little bits from the procedure that aren't easily picked up with your fingers.
How is everyones suction on theirs? Like is it a little hard to move? Or easy? I feel like there isnt enough suction
My suction is pretty damn good. It isn’t hard to to move - but it is pretty strong
@@MrGizmo211 i wonder if mine is a dud....it removes water but if i push down on tbe front while moving it so much more water is taken up :-/
My sister has the hoover n she said hers is hard to move how much the suction power is
@@achinikaylo it must be. Mine isn’t hard to move like your sisters - but the carpet is almost dry so it is sucking up a lot!
@@MrGizmo211 so i used it on a different type of carpet and it deff works much different....so i guess the first carpet is woven really tight so it doesnt suction to it like this one.
I appreciate you replying!
Can you leave cleaning solution in tank between cleanings?
I don’t see why not. The solution isn’t harsh.
you shouldn't have to if you're rinsing your carpet like you'd rinse anything else you clean...... Seriously, leaving solution in the carpet is bad for your carpet.... will make it harder and attract even more dirt...... Really, once deep cleaned, you should only use hot water and a spray bottle with solution in it for spots...... This should be true for at least 4 out of every 5 times you clean your carpet. Express mode should be used mostly to get surface dirt out before it can embed deeply.
My vacuum doesn't spray water and the clean water tank won't snap into place 😢
I can not get solution to come out of cleaner?
What’s the drying time
It was pretty quick - but my carpet isn’t that thick. It was pretty dry with 2 hours. Fully dry was about 4-5.
Can i use to clean matrass ?
It does come with attachments so I am certain you could.
Do you feel like it sucked up a lot of water?
Definitely. The carpets were damp - but most water was sucked up.
👍
Great if you have pets
its 2.5 oz per gal
Wow 199 I got mine for 231 on Amazon
my head got reaaly cloged with hair and if you take that off to clean it the clip are little plastic there going to break in no time . i was not really happy today with mine
we got the blue one that is like this. The other one you show is about $70 more.
How do you like it ?
@@christianadasilva681 I love it. My carpets were DISGUSTING, It did a great job.
@@cerachaos thank you so much ❤️
Check out the videos here on CZcams on how to make your own cleaning solution with just 3 or 4 ingredients from the dollar tree
Digging gunky clumps of hair out of that nozzle is some B.S.
The fact that they even have to include an awkward digger-stick is pretty lame.
Then again, $60 more to get the one that opens? 😦 Tough call.
Bissell is still probably the best choice though, with it’s belt-drive bristles. Other brand’s bristles are suction driven! Fail. 😆
Doesnt that little recover tank fill up every 3 minutes, its tiny.
It does fill quickly for sure.
It’s not sucking the water up😢
Not a good thing - make sure dirty water tank is empty. That thing doesn’t fill as much as you think.
I bought two. The first one worked for nine months and stopped sucking up the the water. The company replaced it thanks to the warranty. The second one did the same thing. The warranty was over. I ended up throwing it in the trash. I would not recommend this machine.
Wow - that is crazy. I had had mine for a while and never had that problem.
Suggestion that worked for me:: buy a garden sprayer and put your shampoo undiluted into it. Spray directly onto carpet and let sit for a hr of so - this pulls the dirt into the shampoo. Fill your cleaner reservoir with hot water and pull the shampoo out of the carpet. You will use less shampoo and should have better results.
Do not use hot water in your tank. It can cause the tank to warp since it is plastic and then once that happens, you have to buy a new tank.
@@rawkoutbro definitely use hot water!
@@rawkoutbro hot water is the key to any good cleaning job..... Otherwise you're just moving half the dirt/oils deeper into another area of the carpet...... First a good deep cleaning to get all the stuff deeply embedded from under the carpet if necessary...... then always use the express mode with HOT water ONLY to get the surface dust/oils off and use a spray bottle with solution to get stains out and then rinse thoroughly with hot water........ ANY other way will attract and invite more dust, dirt and oils deeper into your carpet and will end up even dirtier then it was before you started.....
@@rawkoutbro just cause the surface looks clean doesn't mean it is clean.... Try this.... After cleaning the carpet, pour a cup of clean hot water onto a 1 square foot area in a high traffic spot and let it dry..... if that clean water turns into a spot, your carpet needs an extreme deep cleaning with HOT water...... That will be because oils and dirt generally rise to the surface when a lot of hot water is involved.
No shoes or food 😂😂😂
Thumbs down for not showing how to clean it.
I apologize. I will video it next time I pull it out to use it. Maybe you will change the thumbs down to a thumbs up
No food in the rooms damn that's some fucked up shit
Man use that thing on a dirty carpet. Why use it on a clean carpet. Show us some stains and dirt build up being removed.
its a piece of shit leaves the carpet really wet because the suction is horrible
No need to be embarrassed. Carpets…are actually awful. They collect all kinds of germs and poop and dirt. I don’t know why people think they must have wall to wall carpeting. Hardwood floors with wool throw rugs that can be taken out and worshed….,,,.,get rid of that nasty carpet!!
