This video was a lifesaver. I thought I had some electrical problem because my battery kept dying. Turns out my brake lights were just always on because that tiny rubber piece broke off. You saved me an expensive mechanic visit.
Great video, found my problem. Thanks for your efforts. As an aside, my VSA light started coming on when I was driving as soon as I applied the brakes. I had changed my brake light switch and the problem went away, the two must be connected in some way.
Likewise, your brake lights won't turn on when you press the brake paddle, because the switch's plunger is not fully released. Same for not able to press the shift button on the shifter to get out of PARK mode.
Can you tell me how to find the brake fuse for an 09 civic? Nothing is listed as brake light! This video was SUPER helpful, thank you! But i still don’t know which fuse to check. Please help!
Thank you!!!! My Honda Accord 2013 rear lights won't turn on, break lights work, reverse lights work, but the regular lights when you turn on the lights won't turn on the rear lights...
My 2009 Honda Accord center brake light works, but the other two brake lights do not come on. The brake light switch is good, I also checked where all wires connect to the ground, and it looks good. Any suggestions on what to check next would be greatly appreciated.
I’m dealing with the exact same thing right now and just changed the brake light switch the brake lights still don’t work. Did you figure out what solved your problem
Hey man, I have this issue and after watching this video I now know its the brake light switch, what should I look to replace? the switch that you showed or just that rubber thing?
Mine brake lights got stuck at times , not all the time , I noticed that they got stuck more often when the headlights are on, once I turn the headlights off the brake lights go off .. what could be the problem?
