    Pigs definitely worth doing on seasons on console. I've gone through a couple of years of day seasons ( had yorkshire) About 9 months in had loads of pigs bred. Selling them when they got to 0.4year and keeping a decent stock of momma pigs I'm making good money. Plus give them straw to make more money from manure in biogas plant.

    @The_Black_Knight Před 4 lety +1

    If a player wants apply "automation" for the feeding / straw system similar to the FS19 Seasons water pump, park a multifruit auger wagon, conveyor belt (next to a regular silo) or buying silo next to the pigsty feeding point. Some placeables such as silos require a bit of trickier placement dependent on animal enclosure type. Be aware that an open auger wagon with straw will experience bale rot in the rain and dependent on map.

    • @mitsoskaftis
      @mitsoskaftis Před 4 lety

      That is really clever!!!I use a milling machine for cleaning so I always have a trailer attached to the tractor that I use it for feeding.But if someone doesn't bother with cleaning your idea is brilliant

    • @The_Black_Knight
      @The_Black_Knight Před 4 lety +1

      @@mitsoskaftis You can easily use this concept and still clean the feeding area. You position the auger wagon so the pipe is elevated ABOVE the height of the vehicle and drive underneath as normal. The same applies for conveyor belts. The difference between an auger wagon / conveyor belt and a tipper is that is will automatically discharge in the trigger point WITHOUT use of a vehicle attached.

      @@mitsoskaftis You are welcome. Here is another advanced tip that people overlooking since you are considering cleaning. If you use a NMC snowblower as an overloader instead of a milling machine, you can clean and discharge materials directly back into the feed trough area, immediately, no trailer required. Alternately, I never recommend covering the feed area with crops or wood chips, as this leads to lost revenue and waste as a percentage feed is considered "overage" with each game day.

    The menu updates slow, look in the sale dialogue your breeders are there. I sale all females as the enclosure fills. I'm holding males until market peaks in spring and I'm going to sale down to breeders. This gives me constant income and a boon in the end. Not sure when to replace breeding stock.

    • @arthurgordon1277
      @arthurgordon1277 Před 4 lety

      I've been doing the same with 10 breeders per pen, selling the females as they're birthed is the only way to keep the population under control long term without pulling your hair out with the logistics

  • @rodneyhartman984
    @rodneyhartman984 Před 4 lety

    If you talk to most Hog Farmer's /breeder that is not unusual to get that many pig if you have a good birth rate per hog. When they finish birthing divide the total piglet by 20 and you will find you have about 10 to 15 births per hog, less then that is a low birth rate.

      Ok never mind. I did a test myself. I used two same harvesters and did one strip with each. One with the Dana flex and one with the power flow. The Dana flex = 5190 and the power flow = 5398. I also used 2 same tractors and same loaders and collected the straw. The Dana flex line = 21455 of straw and the power flow line = 22315 of straw. The crop I tested this on was wheat.
