- The future of Universal Studios Orlando is looking incredibly bright. With new shows, a brand new land and a new parade opening in 2024, Universal Studios is already starting to be transformed. With the addition of Minions Land and Dreamworks Land, what else could come to the park? We'll discuss the recent rumors of Rip Ride Rockit closing, along with Fast and Furious, The Simpsons Ride and if Pokemon could come to the Universal parks.

Which ride would YOU want to see at Universal Studios Orlando next?
Pikmin Replace Men in Black Alien Attack
Assuming Lord of the rings, Zelda would go to the other parks, I would love to see more Nintendo, Final Fantasy, or an attractions based on Japanese animes. I think Japanese IP's for us younger folks (40 and younger) in the US is bigger than Disney IP's and modern Hollywood Ip's. would love an indoor dueling rollercoaster based on the F zero franchise or a Metroid attraction. Just hope they don't touch Men in Black, Transformers, or the Mummy.

I've been saying this for years. Pokemon is the biggest untapped intellectual property out there. Adding Pokemon to Universal would be completely game-changing. It's Harry Potter 2.0
Yeah, it's all fun and games until anime weebs turn the park into some japanese anime park, overrun with cosplayers.
@@FrappeInsider I think an anime land, or attractions based on Japanese video games other than Nintendo ( Final Fantasy, or resident evil for example) would be a big seller. Anime is now mainstream and bigger in the US than DC or Marvel. Before Japanese culture was very niche, but that's no longer the case
a Pokemon Snap attraction would work verry well conceptually
@@belgianbull4722 It would do well, but at what cost? You gotta think about who that’s gonna attract. Basically giving the “ok” to weebs and cosplayers to come overrun the park and try to turn it into some japanese park. Mario doesn’t because that’s a more mainstream and non-cosplayed game
They haven’t added it yet because it’s a hard idea to implement. Like how would u interact with the pokemon and would you lvl up ur pokemon?
If Universal can find a way to get both Pokémon & LOTR in, it’s game, set & match.

An LOTR attraction could be incredible, but If imagine could have some problems with licensing.
Great vid! All we have coming in California is a roller coaster, so cool to see the Florida parks growing.

I think universal needs more rides based off older franchises given that they are bringing back ghost busters, screw relevancy.
And can universal bring me back to the parks 😉
Rides like jaws and kongfrontation were are the true magic of universal. It put you into the scene of the movie. Now you watch the scenes on a screen. Much of the magic is now gone

All the news of Universal Orlando is exciting and hopefully the upcoming idea and plans for Universal Studios Florida will be a possibility to come
I know this is completely unviable (and a terrible take), but I wish Studios would just shut down for two years to reinvent itself. Simpsons is going to have demolished due to contract limitations, Rip Ride Rockit is rumored to be closing down, the Fear Factor Live stage has already been closed, and anything would be better than Fast and Furious. Close the park for twoish years and replace all of these attractions with experiences that bring the park up to par with Islands. Maybe even develop the empty space between the former Simpsons land and MIB into a new mini-land.
I think after epic universe opens studios is gonna get quite abit of attention. It really needs it.
I think they could do it by just closing that back half of the park and adding a show in front of rip ride and some special experiences. They wouldn’t have the capital to close it completely. But I agree. Demolish the whole back half of the park past diagon alley.

No way they would close the park for two years, especially given Diagon Alley/Hogwarts express is a massive draw. Probably will be a step by step change in the park.

Fast & Furious is in the tram ride at USH so the coaster means there will be two references in the park.
Most likely that the coaster will replace both rip ride rocket and jimmy fallon (I heard that jimmy wasn’t that much popular even less popular than supercharged! So I think after early 2026 or later, jimmy will host its final show)

Pokémon at Studios
Zelda at Islands
Mario/Donkey Kong at Epic
Pikmin at Studios and Islands of Adventure
And Luigi’s mansion on epic 👀👀

Universal is going to need the most work considering that it already pales in comparison to Islands. When Epic opens, it’s going to be even more apparent that Universal NEEDS WORK. Glad it seems like they’re really putting their all into it. I hope that in 2030 all three parks and incredibly exciting

The atlantas ride should be replaced with a fallout land
They should bring JAWS back
They could do a submarine ride like finding nemo in disney but theme it to JAWS
Bring back the jaws ride
For the Orlando resort I see/ want the following to happen:
1. Rip-Ride gets torn down next year with a new roller coaster opening in 2028, I think Intamin will do it and would like to see a family thrill ride. The ride takes over the old Blue Man group building area and more backstage area that Universal doesn’t need for HHN. With an improved finale that goes over the walkway around the lagoon.
2. While Rip Rid Rocket gets torn down, Jimmy Fallon closes and the building is expanded for a version of the Secret Life of Pets ride in Hollywood. Could be any Illuminations IP. Opens in spring 2027.
3. Animal Actors Stage gets torn down in 2025 for a two-theater version of Dreamwork’s Theatre from Hollywood. Opens in summer 2026. With SpongeBob Storepants getting rethemed into a Far Far Away gift with Kidzone Pizza. *note ET may or may not get rerouted to Hollywood as part of this “phase 2” expansion for DreamWorks. This also may happen during the Springfield detheme and may take up more space of the Springfield food court. May also allow the DreamWorks destination to be converted into a dedicated well themed meet-and-greet space for not-core DreamWorks IP.
4. Fast and the Furious close next with a 2029 opening of a Pokémon ride akin to Web-slingers, but not done on a budget. Takes up only half of the building and allows for an immersive interior experience for Pokémon.
All of this is in preparation for the entire closer of Simpsons in 2028. The entire building torn down with the Springfield area gets a light retheme into generic food stalls and stores until replacements are filled for the space. Or gets merged into the DreamWorks area with the DreamWorks Theater Expansion.
The back right of the park from Simpson’s to Fear Factor is so large is hard to speculate what could go there. But I think that construction would start in 2030-32 at the minimum. It’s large enough to put in another Diagon Alley and then some.
I also wouldn’t be surprised in the next decade if Minions and Transformers get renovated with a new ride system since they are two of the oldest ride systems in the front of the park.
Totally forgot about Blue Man Group, that would definitely give them plenty of room.
