Nas is like a definition of being a good dude, yet tough and smart as hell. Respect, wish you years of prosperity ✨
I was listening to Nas at age 12. I’m 37 now, I’m so grateful to have witnessed his legacy! … Peace to the god Nasir Jones for everything he has done for the culture. 🫡🙏🏾
Same here 39 now... i will always listen to this legend.. greatings from Amsterdam.

The way how Nas orchestrated this 3 year run and planned everything out perfectly with the timing and putting up the right formula is something to consider alongside the great music! 🐐👑

Ur insight is great
@@N.S-lr7vc Insight on what??? Nasir started the wood albums. KDs and Magics continued the wood albums. Nas is definitely consistent with going wood and dropping bs albums. I dont think it takes formula to do that.

As a Nas fan since early 1994 (before the first album was released), this video is a little emotional. I knew he was the one back then. He was always the one. The golden child of this artform. The greatest of alltime!
Facts
Since Day 1!
I feel this bro.
Same here! I knew son was the one in early ‘94 too. I haven’t wavered from saying he is the greatest for almost 30 years.
I haven't wavered since late '94! Humbly.
NAS is the real definition of "Time will tell." All hail the GOAT!!!
Nas is really a GRIOT , modern Shakespeare and the epitome of what you will call a wordsmith. When it comes to the essence of the Art his prowess is incredible not to mention the consistency . Its unfortunate we really don't celebrate our Greats and legends the way we should ,but as soon as they die , we realize what we just lost. Nas music literally took me through some very dark moments in my life. Much respect OG.
Well said!
💯% agreed, so on point!! 👊🏽

I'm a huge NAS fan, but i got to say, there's only one dude who takes the title of modern Shakespeare - Aesop Rock.
In my opinion Nas always had a unique taste in the beats and samples he chose to rap on. Often not the most typical samples, but those that stand out over time and set new trends 😎👍🏼
YOU have the best CZcams channel for samples Oleg!
Yup
his beats and samples are basic as fuck, Nardwuar will storm Nas bar 4 bar
That's how I always felt. Nas flows over Life's soundtrack

I can't play Magic 3 without playing Fever at least 4-5 times before the next song, this song has been the first thing I play as soon as I wake up for the past three weeks. Funny enough when I heard the song for the first time, this is the kind of music video I pictured🥵🔥 Happy 50th to Hip-Hop and the one and only Nas ❤
Hip hop coming back like a vengeance! Thank you for never leaving us Nas!
this video is a pure example of Nas not really caring about the charts. this entire album is that way. the entire album is a celebration for him and always remains introspective. just seeing him still alive and doing his thing (and also finally getting the props he rightfully deserves) is the thing that made his run special. if you see this, Nas. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR US!!!! there are people out there that you have inspired to be great, including me. you made a real impact in this genre, our lives, and the art itself.

"Cunning as the father of the 12 sons of Jacob" (Referring to the Israelites). He is referring to Jacob cunning his brother Esau for his birthright for a bowl of soup in the Book of Genesis. That was straight Biblical. That was a hell of a way to start a track. Nas is making lyrics that will be referenced in the future. When people realize how hard that reference is the world will be different.
I love seeing Nas and AZ together. Both legends.
Beautiful ! Beautiful! Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful. Goosebumps all over . Nas you’re the best thing that ever happened to hip hop. Best rapper dead or alive ! Period
no other MC has aged as gracefully as nas. his new music still slaps and has that core nas feeling where his peers who were goats at there time all have a sense of boomerism to there new music.

I’m 24 years old, first discovered Nas when I was probably 5-6 years old, found the Illmatic cassette on the floor as it belonged to my 15 year old uncle at the time, found it in a pile of trash my mom was cleaning up, I took it to my uncle and had me listen to it and from there it stuck. I didn’t listen to Illmatic again until I was 14 years old in 2013 and from there Nas has been my favourite rapper of all-time

This is one for the books! I love that "Fever" celebrates Nas's 50th birthday but also him as a rapper. I am definitely and always will Represent for Nas! It's a homage to his relentless representation and influence as an MC. I love the video in black/white and feel 1-800-hit should be in black and white as well, if he releases it as a single. Back to Fever- I love the celebration and how everyone came to represent for the golden child. The concept was great and I loved when he was rapping the camera shot to what was being spoken about. Salute to Nas- the Greatest MC ever!

Nas the chosen one
When I was in the 8th grade. You sent me an autograph copy of Stillmatic for Christmas.
It was signed Nas on one side. Then Nasir Jones on the other side.
I'm not going to lie I was a kid still. A kid whose mother just died and I never got to really know her. Because I was adopted at 9m. My mother bless her soul lived in DC and hit her stride when Rayful Edmond was in power. You get caught up sometimes. It took me till my 30th birthday this year to swallow a lot of pain around not knowing my mom. And her being schizo and in a home. The mental home covered who my father was. So I was double timed from the jump like you spittin on 40 side.
But I said that to say course I had every album of yours. Physically bought. Plus bought on iTunes. So I opened that MUH FUKKA!! I had to feel the Sig. I had to smell the sharpie. Cause it was the first time in my life at 13 I felt like damn. This is real. You've been the standard for not just one genre of music. But for MUSIC in itself. Timeless. Like David Ruffin hopping out the whip with his glasses on the side. I battled homelessness and I still always carried your signature everywhere I've ever gone. I've lost a lot in this life but that Sig.. Still on the shelf beside my Temptations record.
I listen to daughters everyday cause I got 3 myself. Covid babies 🤣😂 3,2, and One today!!
They throw up the Wu. They know Nas by your voice and face.
Thank you for always being true to the game. Even in a song like You Owe Me. "Owe me back like 40 acres to blacks"
Untitled. Hip-Hop is Dead. Shocking MC'S!!! Ingenious concepts like Lost Tapes. Rewriting a verse on John Blaze to battle back at Pun.
Always being a rebel. I'd do anything to sing a song for you! See you in your process. Learn about fatherhood. I'd take notes plus bring a recorder 🤣
