For those who dont know, castor sugar is just really fine sugar. Not quite confectioners sugar. Its a bit more grainy.

No it's late, but for anyone else wondering: in generally yes, you can switch butter to magarine and vice versa.
The taste will be different and even the texture could change a bit, but nothing that should take away from a delicious cake.

@christophermartin972 apart if you don't like the taste, or are vegan, or can't have butter for any other health reason..
Or you just don't want too. Use magarine.. or oil.. or lard can be nice in savory recipes.

everything is good but the margarine ... hydrogenated oil health destroyer (not that REAL dessert is the healthiest), but you don't want something that completely disrupts your endocrine system ... otherwise a fantastic dish

Carmen I feel like you should keep your last name. And probably even rename your Channel something like “Carmen Pritchett Reloaded”. My reason for saying that is because you earned that name plus that’s what people know you by.
