- In this vlog, I reach the end of this beautiful canal. Still, my journey is only beginning. This has to be one of my favourite stretches of water.
If you like me, enjoy this journey and you'd like to support me then, you could buy me a coffee from the link.

Thank you so much. ❤❤❤
Will, I’ve been following you for several months along with five other narrow boaters. They all have unique personalities, but yours is in a class by itself! If enjoyed your invisible companions, who always have something to say. Your sense of humor is to die for; at least it has killed me more than once. On this video you said that you don’t have the voice for narration; on that, you’re totally wrong! You know how to keep even the mundane entertaining. Even though I’ve subscribed, I’ve been freeloading all this time, so I’ll try to make up for it during this comment session. Thank you for the many hours of unmitigated amusement, Tom.
Well, Thomas. You've really cheered me up. My lad is in a pickle and I had to borrow him some money. This will really help. Thank you so much for your great comment. 👍
The old Taylors aren't bad, play dodgems with the boat mind but it's a cracking bunch.
Thanks!
Wow! Thank you so much. You've really made my day.
Two and a half million people plus the family in the room with them could be ten million or more, watching your vlogs, you are getting better and better Will.*****
Thank you so much for the feedback. Thumbs up 👍
Nice one Will ,we stayed near Kendal one year and did a walk along the middle of what was the canal ,its strange seeing bridges in the middle of a field going nowhere and a small aqueduct over the road . The edges of the canal are easy to see
I did walk up slightly from Tewitfeild to have a look. I got a puncture in one of my flip flops, so I had to turn back after the 2nd lock. Ha ha
Nice journey in this canal, very beautiful, thanks for all the work you do to make these videos !!!!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Kent. Stay tuned for my return journey. 😉
Hi Will, on your return journey if you face backwards you can see where you’ve been, or you can face forwards but then you’ll see the back of what you saw on the first journey.😊 I hope my advice helps.
I shall endeavour to go forth and hopefully not end up on the M6 in a pill up. Ha ha 😂 🤣
Will , you have come to the end , were are we going now ? been very nice well looked after . Thank you for taking us along😙😔
There and back again. Glasson basin next. Stay tuned.
Morning Will. Looks like blanket weed on the boat sides. Horrible stuff. Our boating lake had major problems with the weed blooming up in towers to the surface in hot weather. Overcome by adding a coloured food dye to darken the water so not enough sunlight gets through to activate the weed. Without that you may as well fill the lake in and turn it into a car park-like they used to do with abandoned canal terminal basins!☹. Another enjoyable video, I enjoyed the variable pace and comment as always. And the pope is back.😂😂😂😂. Regards. Paul.
Good morning Paul. Yes, the weed can cause so many problems on lakes and canals.
I bet your boating lake weed must be a nightmare for model boaters when it gets caught in the prop.
Hope you're well and enjoy the day.
Another wonderful VLOG Will. Such beautiful countryside and canals.
Glad you enjoyed it. I'm really enjoying this canal.
Same here.... but, these days I'd follow the sent to the person and then walk by them really slowly while breathing deeply. 😁😎 😜
Ha ha ha. Fair enough..
Kids, Cows and canals- what a great combo. This has been a lovely bit of water
It really has. It's the best time to be here as well.
Morning Will always a joy when you upload .Thank you ❤
That's nice. Thanks.
good vid cranking it on the cut make nice vid on channel thanks four the vid you do
You bet your bottom dollar Lee.
Grand vlog Will many thanks for sharing do tc now luv from the oldies 👍👍👍👍👍🤗
My pleasure guys. Thank you again for stopping by.
Are we right in thinking you don't like the M6?? 🤣🤣 Filthy thumbs up Will ! 👍👍
It's my number 1 hated motorway. 🤪 ha ha ha
GG says woof. Always enjoy your videos
Thanks 👍. Woof woof. Meooow..
Splendid video again you help me think I am not nuts as I have voices I put on to entertain my self
Thanks ❤
😂 🤣 don't I'm sure it's normal.
Hi Will..
That fish looked like a tench?
The tiny pony was a Shetland pony used to have one as a kid a lot of fun to ride used to just get down and roll to get you off lol.
Yellow Flowers were iris on side of canal.
Now that is a pretty canal very lovely video.
M6 is blooming every where isn't it 😢 I live not too far from the dreaded junction 2 of the M6 it's not too bad but train line too from rugby to Birmingham main line yuk.
Hope the rain goes away the sunshine does come along eventually lol.
All the best kev the Brinklow kayaker 😊
Hello, kayaking kev. It looked like a tench because these bream are dark from the minerals in the water. Tench normally are loners like me. 😂
The sun came out and it was hot. Now it's windy and wet. Abit like me. 😂
Cheers buddy. 👍
Think it is always great to see the end of a canal and then if there is or was more to explore that. To boldly go where no one has gone before! 😉
Luckily that raincloud wasn't following you 😂
I am growing a bit thin, so I'm nearly going boldly. Ha ha ha 😂
He boldly went where no man had been before for SPC The Slough Arm 😉
Lovely Canal and not very bizzy some of the water side Properties look lovely. I would like a Little cottage by the canal that was suit me perfectly. But would have to win the lottery to get one.😊
I'd love a little cottage by the canal when I'm too old to narrowboat. So I could watch the boats pass and tell them not to moor outside my house. Ha ha 😂
@@NarrowboatWill that would be fun 😁 😂
Hope you are enjoying the lovely weather 😎
Well, it's raining today, but I enjoyed it while it lasted. 😄
The end of the line will, cracking song by the travelling willburys
It's the end of the line but not the end of this canal. Not by a long shot. Stay tuned ripper. 😉
@@NarrowboatWill Always tuned Will, only way to travel me old duck, its them that ain't tuned that's the problem, out of tuned buggers 😉
@eatsinabeat ha ha ha
The Union Canal is just about a contour canal. Loads of aqueducts, but no locks until it gets to Falkirk, where there are two locks just before the Falkirk Wheel takes you onto the Forth and Clyde Canal.
I'd love to do that canal. If I win the sloppery, I'll get my boat transported up there.
I will fantastic canal very pretty all the best for now 😊
Thank you Suzanne. 👍 Have a good day. 👍
Great vlog again Will 🎧👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it Mark. Thanks for the comment.
Hi Will I put in M6 construction and on CZcams it shows that stretch being built in 1964 with Ernest Marples getting in the way shame he didn't say don't block off the canal 😲
What a tragedy that was. A lot of the canals were run down anyway back then, so I guess they thought no one would miss it. Thanks for stopping by.
Great Video as Usual Will. Hope you well.
I'm very well, thanks, guys. This canal is beautiful for sure. Enjoy the warmth. 👍
Hi Will such a shame the M6 blocked off the Kendal section with all the heavy grading machines MC alpine had to build roads to raise a road by 12 ft should have been easy unlike a canal
Sadly it was done before the canal restoration groups had formed to stop it so sad when you walk round to see the section going off up to Kendal as what a trip that could have been !!
It must of been a stunning area pre the dreaded M6. My arch nemesis. Ha ha
Try the glasson arm on the way down, very quiet stretch. Nice smokehouse at the basin.
On it..Thanks
Another great video as always . Thanks for taking us to a new place 😊
Glad you enjoyed it. 😉
You know, your music puts me in mind of the Blade Runner movie Will Mozart 👍👍👌
Oh wow. Thank you.
I think the hill you;re looking at is Ingleborough. I'm not so familiar with from that side, but I reckon so. 700+ m and one of the Yorkshire three peaks (yes, you're close to Yorkshire now, where it strangles Lancashire against the sea).
Strangles Lancashire. A lovely term. Ha ha .
It's a very special place around here. In my view. There's probably other special places on the market..
U have gd music on yur vlogs Will! Well done on propeller challenge👏 & keep up the gd narration! 👍👍
Thank you so much, Beverley. ❤️
I really need to send off for my silver challenge plaque now. Have a good day. 👍
Morning Will, some nice scenery and views in this part of world 👍👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🇬🇧
It's blummin magic. Ha ha
Thank you for also cursing the M6 🤣😂🤣 if you know you know 😂🤣😂
Ha Ha ha. My nemesis. 🤣
Love your channel. The yellow flowers are yellow iris also called yellow flags
Thank you. They look gorgeous along the canal..
Weird that it's so shallow in places after all that rain... 🤔 Hopefully I won't get stuck in the Autumn. 😬 I don't think I'll be travelling the entire Lancaster in a week (!) but it's been brilliant to follow it through your eyes/phone/editing 👀 Thanks again for going on a recce for me, it's so kind of you 🤣 Looking forward to the journey back... (but maybe not the Preston fighting men section) 😂 Thanks for the multiple slow hand mimes too... ✊🖐⬇
I'm glad you've found it helpful. But the gem, in my view, is Glasson basin. Hardly a soul moving on boats. Stay tuned ripper. 😉
@@NarrowboatWill Oooohhh... good tip off approaches... 😀👍 Thanks.
@@NarrowboatWill Oh, I've just looked it up... I won't be doing that. That kind of caper is for your Narrowboat Will types. I'll look forward to seeing you doing that... not me... nope 😂
I love the rural places best.
I agree. Peaceful, calm. Makes one feel alive.
Nice 1 Will…
You're welcome Wales person. 😊
@@NarrowboatWill hi Will, I get you there as a few people over the years have thought that, I am not Welsh, it is my artist name, Dyfhi = Do ya f******g head in. A long story 😜🤣
the Kendal section contains locks
You're right. Thank you.
Thanks
Thank you so much Mrs Gilly J. 😘
you want to know about rain come to Scotland the only way we know its summer is the rains warm 😆
Ha Ha Ha. High..
This is it, then, the end of Lancaster Canal. Ta, lurrr...
That's it, little sausage. The end...
Hi Will I am a bit confused about a Handicap in golf , is it like in a Horse race as when the winning horse and jocky win , then when he races again he has weights thrown in his saddle bags and the jocky gets and extra pork pie , so perhaps the golfer has weights put in his golf trolly is that why some golfers can manage 18 holes but now he can only drag his trolly round 9 holes as I have seen some golfers bent double pulling a bag full of weights 🤭
Sounds correct to me. I've seen lots of golfers give up on nine because of too many pork pies. Ha ha 😂 🤣
When will you be in Liverpool
It's looking around the end of August.
oh dear , that's abit petty , not letting anyone turn around in the marina , unless it meant only to hireboats , afterall you are a private boater lol , it looked a nice area of canal , but it looked like it needed dredging .
I bet boats have turned there and caused problems in the past. I could've turned, and nobody would've bothered. It's better to turn further up. Apart from the m6 it's lovely up there.
Have a good weekend Lori. 👍
There are way too many 35-55 second adverts that you can’t skip
I can't do anything about it. CZcams changed which adverts they pit on. Really annoying. I put one at 8mins. Then 16mins. Etc.
Put an ad blocker in and you won't see any ads.
