    They are definitely two different vibes. Like you said the 35 is a sporty dress watch. The 40 is more of the typical 70s sports watch. I really like both and could see having both in a collection. Hopefully they do come out with a middle 37mm option that could play dressy and sporty better instead of leaning much more into one.

    The light blue dial automatic version Tissot has just released is absolute fire, I already have the green but god it makes me want to buy another haha. Absolute grand slam of a release from Tissot, it put almost every watch between 500 and 2000 dollars in the dirt.

    I really like the PRX for the style and finishing. I think offering a watch with premium details in something as accessible as the PRX quartz is brilliant and may serve as a lure for the industry. That said, I think I'm a little Genta'd out right now. I had my eyes on a gold 40mm but would rather a half step between the available sizes, also as you mentioned. Only dig I have is they completely missed the boat by not having a broad range of strap options early on if they were going to bother with quick release spring bars. A third party certainly shouldn't have scooped them on a rubber strap offering for that matter.

    Just sold my Powermatic 40mm. I have quite large wrists but it was just too big imo. Tried the 35mm a couple times and I'm not sold as it is really tiny even though I prefer it I think. a 37-38mm (auto) would be an instant buy for me and a life-time main watch.
    Love the design so much, but it's gotta be a good fit otherwise there is no pleasure in wearing it.

  • @jayeyesacks1604
    @jayeyesacks1604 Před rokem +5

    I already own the Gentleman Powermatic 80 Silicium model, so for me, one of these movements in my collection is sufficient. It's not mentioned enough in reviews of the Tissot models with the PM 80 that these movements are laser regulated at the time of manufacture, and cannot be serviced by a watchmaker. This means that any watch with this movement will have to be sent to Tissot directly, where an entirely new movement will likely be the fix. I think Tissot would be better served using a traditional ETA 2824-2 movement in place of the PM 80. The power reserve is largely hyped, as by the time day 3 of wearing comes along, accuracy falls off due to the movement reaching the end of its reserve. In a certain sense the PM 80 movement is akin to the Sistem 51 in that both are essentially designed to be disposable. If Tissot would utilize solar quartz technology with the PRX, that would probably be optimal.

    I bought a 35mm and exchanged it 2 days later for a 40mm. I have a small wrist (6.5 in / 16mm), which encouraged the 35. But on my hand it looked dainty. If I were looking for a dainty, elegant watch, the 35 would be great. But the 40 looks like I’m rocking a nice, gold watch. Even with my small wrist, it does not look too big. It does look a bit flamboyant, but that’s why I wanted this all gold (toned) watch. It comes down to what you are looking for.

    My wrist is exactly 6" and I am 5'6". Which size should I get in both the PRX and the Everytime? I want to get both of those watches but am not sure what size to get. I want the gold since it goes with my warm skin tone. Gold tends to be overly blingy so keeping it minimal is key. But minimal can be too dainty or feminine too though so there is a fine line to walk when sizing the jewelry item. That includes watches.

It is best to wear a christopher ward the twelve watch on the wrist, whether it is a size 40 or 36. I own one. It is a really beautiful watch and its price is reasonable compared to the quality the watch is made of.

    I haven't tried the 35 on, though I fear I will feel it's a bit small for my 7.25" wrist. The 40 works well though. If I hadn't just made a huge watch purchase last month, I'd have picked up the new ice blue PRX Powermatic by now. Nothing quite grabbed me enough to want to buy until I saw that one. I still want one, but need to wait a bit before I buy another watch. That gold one is coo, but I don't know how well I could pull that off. I think I might have to get the gold in 35mm just to not be too showy. I have an Autodromo Group B at 39mm diameter (and ~9mm thick). It wears really well, so I can understand why people would want something more in between the 40 and 35.

    I’m in agreement with you, a 37 or 38mm would be perfect. I don’t mind either quartz or automatic, that won’t be the deciding factor for me. I would hope that they use the vertically brushed dial that they use on the 40mm quartz models as opposed to the sunburst dials that they used on the 35mm.
    If they can pull that off, It would be a slam dunk purchase for me.

    I considered the 35mm PRX at my local jeweller's, but.... the watch head may wear as a 36/37mm watch (thanks to the male end links), the dial is VERY small and the petite hands make it look as if the proportions are not quite the ticket. So I ended up buying a quartz one (mint green) on a bracelet and a Powermatic (blue wafer, very subtle) on a strap, both in 39.5mm. But 35mm? Nah.....

    I did prefer the 35’s bracelet significantly more. The links are smaller and the taper is better. The smaller links allows a little more precise fit. With the 40, i couldn’t get a just right fit. It was either a touch too tight or too loose.
