I'm surprised at how many recognized them just by their voice. Also, big respect on Ollie for having the confidence to do this. It really is the hardest part of learning a language- getting over the embarrassment of trying.
I took Spanish in high school for four years and had the opportunity to go to Mexico five summers in a row for a week and was too embarrassed to practice. Now I’ve lost almost all of it and I wish I would’ve just been able to laugh at myself

New subscriber. This just popped in my feed. I am just rolling. The look on Ollie's face when the caller did not believe him was just priceless. Excellent effort putting yourself out there. Always a huge world of difference between book learning versus conversation. A follow-up would have been epic. Since it has been 4 years, I am making a leap that Ollie is pretty fluent by now.
