Without trust there's no foundation for a healthy relationship. If my husband manipulated things to name our daughter after his high school sweetheart without my knowledge, I would leave him and change my baby's name.. if he's going to be dishonest about something this delicate how can you trust him with anything else.
I would say she should confront him about the issue and insist that they change the baby's name; the girl is only three months old, so she won't notice. If he refuses the name change, then divorce. But naming a child after an ex without even telling your spouse is beyond the pale.
