      Cammer may have been at fault for a poorly-timed manoeuvre, but that doesn't excuse the other driver ramming him while firing his sonic cannons and crossing the centre line. If the jag driver wanted to get away with the ramming, they shouldn't have given away - by sounding the horn 1:06 to 1:09 - how much time they had to avoid the collision after noticing the problem. It'd be interesting to hear what insurance companies made of this one.

      This seems to be a very common occurrence nowadays. People miss judging the speed of fast moving traffic as they miss time their emerge from a side road.
      On my way backwards and forwards to work on a busy A road (A47) there are several side roads from which people emerge poorly, this is so common that I more or less expect the side road approacher just to pull out. I preadjust my speed and braking accordingly.

    • @paul8161
      @paul8161 Před měsícem +9

      @ianmason. I don't really think the car colour is a issue, the flashing lights and sirens usually give the impression its a actual police car, its only the mentally challenged that miss those clues like Mr impatient unaware cammer, who if they can't spot what's going on around them maybe should give up driving to be honest for everyone's safety as well as their own safety to.

      @@paul8161 Oh, I think it does. It took me a a couple of seconds to spot the Volvo whereas the marked cars were obvious from the very beginning of the clip. It stands to reason that your eye is going to be drawn to the vehicles with the bright markings and big warning beacons, not to the dark vehicle with small beacons designed not to be seen until they are turned on. Somebody responsible for exercises ought to have been able to figure out that it would be a lot safer to have a marked car doing the rolling road block. These things ought to be planned with the thickest numpty in mind, not the careful driver.

      @ianmason. I think your missing the point if the cammer can miss marked cars and even brighter police personnel in hi viz jackets, the likely hood of him even spotting a brighter unmarked car is slim to fk all...and I'm pretty sure the police can plan there own training without help, but maybe you could forward your suggestions on to them to review I'm sure it might give them a chuckle..everything was planned apart from how the public interact with the police and obviously the police can't be responsible for how people react around them..some people use there brains around the situation, some like Mr cammer don't..plus just because you missed the car stopping in the road until it lit up its lights doesn't mean everyone will, and kinda more importantly why wouldn't you stop no matter what colour vehicle it was especially with all resources infront flashing and wailing away..thats kinda the point.

    1:00 maybe it was worth it so David learns the lesson that forcing his way out from a give way to make another driver have to stop for him isn't anywhere in the highway code. Did his insurance company find him not at fault too? Or did they have to take 100% responsibility for the collision David caused. David also did the classic thing of pulling out quickly into the road then slowing down to continue the manouvre, in that way of, I'm here now this is my space, I will take all the time I like. The only way there wouldn't be a collision is if the other driver managed to avoid it.

    The t pac was just a routine practise and not real by the way. Yep they do this often on motorways and even sometimes normal streets but it is easy to tell a practise from the real thing, they want to move traffic fast after successful in t pacs, do not cuff the driver and jump in the stolen or chased car and all leave, like they did, in the real thing is it not this fast and this simple once it is over lol and very rarely does the t pac end very nicely tucked away on the inner edge of the motorway, yet every single time after practise and successful non contact t pac during them, they end there lol

    00:35, cammer is no example of good driving. Did not give the other car room to turn around. 1:07 shows there is not much space between cammer and Jag. 1:58 The cammer has to be stupid to want to pass the police incident and then have a go at them when they, the cammer, try to prevent the pass. 3:21, cammer seems to ass with little care. 4:18, cammer puts themselves in a dangerous position and then a few seconds later undertakes a vehicle indicting left, you cant teach stupid. 4:33, cammer should have taken more notice of the blue van as it approached and just held back a whole second to make it a non incident. 5:38 car starts to change lane, 5:42 cammer starts hooting, why waste 4 seconds, why not just back off and make it a non incident? Cammer has to get in front so cuts up the other car

    Regarding Jag clip at @1:00 - Problem is the mindset of a lot of drivers at the moment - to continue into a situation just to make it worse. The Jag had plenty of time to slow down and make it a non-event - but no, they just continue anyway. And in the end cause a collision. Good work Jag driver, your quest is complete - you were "wronged" and to make that point you damaged your car in the process, which, not surprisingly, was entirely avoidable.

      @yorkshirebiker that depends on circumstances. I used to have an old Ford Focus, which was written off in an accident that I might have been able to avoid, but I didn't. Once the damages were all paid, I got a very nice Audi TT. Clouds and silver linings and all that. I also had a hire car, paid for by the other party's insurance, for a couple of weeks, while everything was sorted out. It is down to personal preference, circumstances and context.

Disrupt their journey, have to deal with insurance etc, potentially end up with increased premiums, I get that the van maybe cut it a little fine but the jag driver is a nutcase, any normal person would slow down whilst calling them a few rude words & get over it

      What they did do - and were perfectly entitled to do - was to move to block the lane to prevent the cammer's vehicle from passing into an area of a hazard i.e. the TPAC. While this looks to only have been training, in an actual TPAC it's likely that someone may have bolted across the carriageway in order to evade arrest. Where possible a police vehicle will hang back to put a block on any following traffic until the Police are satisfied the incident is contained. That's why the Volva was straddling the lanes, and why when the cammer's car tried to go past through the gap they moved across to reinforce the fact that they cammer should remain behind.

    The Ford galaxy overtake through the diagonal white lines is perfectly legal because the area has broken borders and can be entered when it is safe to do so (in this case, it appears to be used as a center overtaking third lane).
    Highway code 130 shows the regulations for diagonal centre lines.
