Those tears were very real. This concert was entitled Roots to Riches. It’s a musical journey of her career from her very early years as an amateur singer to reaching unsurpassed level of success in her country that only she has achieved. It also told an inspiring story of her very humble beginnings with pretty much nothing but her voice. This is also at the point of her life where she started to feel that she’s at the last leg of the peak of her career. And she also paid tribute to all those who have been a part of her journey, from her family, to her grade and high school teachers, to joining amateur singing contests, to those veteran singers who have believed and supported her rise to stardom. And of course to her fans who have been with her all these years. That song was her way of telling her fans that she’s not going anywhere yet. So no. Those were not crocodile tears like M-Angel was trying to suggest. You don’t know Regine well enough to have an opinion of her tears whether they are true or not. BTW, she did this concert for FREE to show appreciation to her fans. That’s how good and inspiring she is.

The videos you saw Regine having not much emotions are her TV performances. She has little time to rehearse, hence she tends to look at the lyrics in the screen.

Hi M-Angel and Ovela. You will surely love and admire Regine if you have witnessed or even watched her silver concert where she lose her voice during the concert due to an untoward incident. You will love her not just an artist but as a person. You will see how great she is for still pushing the concert despite of her voice. She even repeated that same concert for free just to show her fans how it should be done. Take note, that was 5 years ago and in her R30 concert she never loses a bit of her greatness as an artist and a person. After you have watched that concert you will fall in love with her again and again.

“Thank you Songbird” - I was there that night, it’s one of her Birthday Concert treats for her fans and it was held on a province where she grew up. We said ‘thank you Songbird’ because as I remember, she was saying some life circumstances etc., that she’s old enough and must give way to other new singers etc., but for as long as we will listen and watch her shows, she will not leave us and the showbiz industry. So we thanked her. (Omg! What life it could have been to me if she did.) haha! One of my favorite performance of her. Thank you patreon.
