In all seriousness, isn't there supposed to be a minimal level of physical health in order to become a part of the police force? If not I think it's silly how they'd take any lithe man or large man into the force..
It's 'MURICA, the wonderland of fat people. In my country you have to be fit and maintain good physical health and shooting skills or you will get kicked out of police force.
I just realized this is an old video and comment, but I'll reply anyway. Once you pass the initial hiring physical fitness test and academy, there are no requirements to keep a level of fitness. There may be no national standard, but every department is different. For instance, my local PD has a gym and incentivizes working out on breaks by giving them 1.5 hour breaks only if they hit the gym.

You have to pass an intense physical exam to become a cop. This guy probably used to be really fit, he just let himself go.

Once you pass your tests, that’s all you need. Nothing else, which is why most cops cant maintain fit on their own
