  • Gene Burns is a talk radio host and ran for the presidential nomination of the Libertarian Party in 1984. In this lecture, given at a Libertarian Party of California event in 1991, Burns speaks about generally about the nature of government and the attitude of Thomas Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers when they drafted the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.

    Gene Burns is the best orator I've ever heard on the radio. I miss that guy, and I wish I could speak like him.

      He disavowed libertarianism and supported Obama on his way out. Good riddance.
