    I am using the Oukitel P5000 unit. It is only 2200W but is 5120Wh. What I like about this unit is you can buy it with solar panels for charging.

    Use a EF D Pro for the 30A RV… works like a champ. I can run AC and Microwave at the same time. Powerful unit.

    I think they are nice in particular a home owner for an emergency power source or a rv that needs that set up, IE, no generator, or big solar set up on the roof. For ourselves we have a 20 kw whole house generator and if we lose power at a park I don’t hesitate to run the motorhome generator. If someone wants to plug into my outside 120 or needs help then no problem.

    I have a 7500w generator at our house and run it through the same tranpro 10 circuit transfer switch. I also installed an “ez generator switch” to add an 11th circuit piggybacked off of a low use circuit. Has worked several times during power outages here in Ohio.

    yeah these things are cool, especially the Ecoflow Ultra, but in reality you need a gas, diesel, or propane generator for any long term needs...more than a day a two. Get a duel fuel, run it on propane, and you won't have the problem of gas sitting for a long time. Imagine, you buy a predator, Westinghouse, or champion 12500 duel fuel for 1500 max. Done. These power stations are just a shiny object. Good for Van Life, I own two Ecoflows, but they are not serious for home backup. Renewable?? I would check out the carbon footprint of a Chinese made huge battery!

    We are use several smaller batteries to maintain our frig, and internet. We have a lot of power blips shortening the life our frig. We also have them for shelter in place and traveling. Now that the batteries are more power and portable, we are thinking of getting one to plug into the house power and adding solar.

    We don’t have one. I can’t justify it. We don’t loose power for long. My husband disagrees with me.

    I have been considering this type of set up in lieu of a Victron type set up for our 50amp class A. Do you feel that after having the built in inverter system and testing this mobile set up, do you feel it could replace a Victron set up?

    • @GratefulGlamper
      @GratefulGlamper  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I wouldn't say it would replace a Victron setup, however depending on the size of the system it could certainly supplement it.

      I have panels on the roof of my motorhome, cables running inside to the charger and then to the lithium batteries. Lots of cables running everywhere. For simplicity, I bought an Ecoflow and bifacial folding panels and now run my entire motorhome through the Ecoflow - all the stats and controls on my phone. Should have done this the first time. But at least now I have two lithium batteries that I use with the Ecoflow for more juice when I want it (don't buy the batteries that plug into it, not a good value when you can get cheaper lithium batteries and connect them to the box).
