As a rv tech I wish you’d preface the use of command strips to solid surfaces only. I probably replace 100 wal boards a year because the paper coating peels away from the backer.
I have a hack for you, we have a TT with fold out metal stairs. We tried to keep it painted but road stones and weather keeps trying to get it to rust. Also black enamel paint makes them slick. We use Truck Bed Liner (spray on our brush on) which holds up great to road rash and has a textured finish that does not get slick in the rain.
Great hack! Thanks for sharing
Great idea for our TT.
Genius!
For your picky eater, buy the handheld vacuum sealer and reusable bags. You can remove all the air and the cereal stays fresh. It's also great for leftovers.
Ben is right! NOTHING is worse than stale cereal. Except coconut, of coarse!
😂
Agreed!!! And I have a picky eater (husband) who hates crackers even NEAR to stale state. 🤷♀️
He thinks he can taste the oils going bad on crackers & in chips… maybe he can, who knows.
PROBLEM here is HE IS the one who doesn’t CLOSE bags correctly to avoid the staleness!
I’d suggest using the Command light hanging clips to install that extension cord in your kitchen.
Great idea
Maximizing space for efficiency ... on the road ...
All such great ideas. For best results, 3M does recommend letting the adhesive set up for an hour before applying any weight.
We got a soap/ shampoo/conditioner dispenser that goes on the shower wall.. I added hooks to the sides for a washrag/loofah .. no more bottles in the shower to deal with..
Game changer..
👍🏻
Hey!! If the cereal is just slightly stale then get that milk in there! All is good! Oh storage video is really good! Not stale.
I loved the under-bed zipper containers and the small appliances (Instant Pot and mini-waffle maker). Loved this video!
Awesome, thanks for the comment and for watching
What were those under bed storage bags called???
Use the edge of a credit card to peel up the edges on those little adhesive things.
Good idea!
Love the storage hacks. We thread our towels onto the oven handle.
👍🏻
We have over the cabinet door bars to hold our kitchen towels and pot holders.
there are specific sticky pads that are for power boards. but the idea of multi-use items goes for everything. from storage to cooking, tools to clothing.
For me, the kitchenaid mixer and its many attachments is a godsend as i love to cook. an air fryer that has a rotisserie and the ability to work as a dehydrator is a great option for those that do not have an oven, it can also be taken and used outside. but it becomes important simply to know what you are wanting to get out of your journeys and the reasons for owning an RV.
Very true, thanks for watching and for the comment.
Love all your ideas, so very helpful Charity 😉👍🤗❤️
Thanks so much! 😊
Some of the best chip clips you can get are the small clips that harbor freight sells. They hold up great and work on all size bags.
Good to know! Thanks for watching
So are the metal mini claps of 6 at Dollar Tree in the craft section!! Great for several things😉
I listen to you. I bought T-Fal induction cookware that has removable handles that nest. But they also go from stove top to oven. Awsome 😊
Under the counter spiner device gets my vote
Loved how to store the hats. Thanks learn a lot from you. Safe travels
My favorite is the bracket that you held hats on. This is something that I can see being used in multiple ways. The most effective way to keep out dust and animal hair is the zipper fabric storage bins..SUPER great !
Thanks for the comment and for watching
Love your videos thanks for all the great tips
Thanks for watching
That hat hook is a great idea. I’m ordering one of those. Also I like the tip for the collapsible cooking/storage items.
Glad it was helpful!
This was great information. I really like the zipper bags for games and the hat rack. Also all of the collapsible bowls. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Eliminate stale food with a portable vacuum sealer for mason jars or bags. Eliminate oxygen and food lasts longer in the cupboard, refrigerator and freezer.
Good suggestion
Fantastic video with wonderful tips and hacks!!!Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I have been looking for something to put my utensils on in the RV. I will see if the undercabinet hooks will work for me.
Not necessarily an RV tip, but an everyday use tip (at least in my household)… to reseal bags of cereal, chips, etc, we have a bag resealer device, it is small and magnetic so it just hangs on the refrigerator or any metal surface. It reseals and cuts the excess plastic off. I think I paid $2 for it and then the cost of batteries which I’m still using the original batteries in it and I’ve had it for a year.
Love all the organization suggestions y’all come up with.
Good idea!
I like the hat hook. I wear visors and big-brimmed Charleston-style hats and this would be nice for the visors with one big hat on top. My shower has this weird ripple surround and a 3-piece sliding glass door so I think I will have to attach some caddies to the glass. I totally understand why you removed the over-the-door shower holder. Rattling would drive someone crazy.
I also like the hanging storage but I have lots of drawers so I got a shoe caddy to use that hangs and swivels. Your point is well taken that "Each RV setup is unique and therefore you need to choose options that will work for you."
Not in this video but some things that I did that you suggested in other videos or made me think of when outfitting my "Cottage" are:
I opted for a Splindide combo washer and dryer which saves a lot of hanging space in the closet above it. I can sit on the end of the bed and toss in dirty clothes (washing for one) right in as I take them off, so I probably won't need a hamper.
I already had a convection single burner. I bought a portable two-burner stove top because I have a big island with a flip-up counter plus an additional outlet outside so I can also cook there. I got some stacking cooking pots and pans with clip-on handles. I also got a dual-compartment air fryer and an Instant Pot air fryer because I like to be able to have the 13 options rather than 13 different appliances.
Although there is a convection microwave oven with a vent over a propane gas stove and oven, I don't see myself using the stove and oven very often when cooking for one. Since there is also a big vent fan over the island I think my cooking will be more likely done under that. I like what you did with the convection stove, removing the propane unit entirely, however, my kids (close to retirement age) might need it one of these days if they move the "Cottage" to another location. What is important is that you showed how it can be done.
I wanted to let you know that sometimes it takes some research on our part to implement your suggestions, however, we are and they are helpful.
Thanks for the feedback and for watching.
I loved the hat hanger. We have hats taking up spaces where coats or light jackets can hang. I noticed several hooks in your shower, do you hang washcloths on those?
We use the hooks for wet swimsuits mostly 😎
Good tips! I have a problem with things falling from my closet( hangers with clothes, that organizer rack) etc. on travel days. Do you have any tips for this problem?
❤❤❤❤❤
WE are looking for a fire resistant curtain for over the propane stove, Any Ideas?
Metal mini blinds?
Stale cooking oil is worse...
🤢
Also terrible for you. Inflames the joints. Buy small bottles of oil and separate into very small containers in order to reduce exposure to air.
How many hats do you need?
I know, some people have a shoe problem, I have a hat problem 🤷🏻♀️
Is your shower a smooth or textured surface? I can't get anything to stick to ours because it has a texture😢
It’s a smooth wall (not textured)

Trying to understand your shower issue hard to understand.
We have a small shower (what RV doesn’t?) and the rack was just too big and made noise on travel days while driving. So we found a different solution
“How that it”, “how that they”. Im curious on your origins. Ive heard that added in like this before but you for sure use this speech pattern instead of just “how it” or “how they”
For saying experiences over things, do you realize this video was about things over experiences? lol
LOL, it was more about hacks and principals of organization. However, when we say experiences over things - we are really talking more about the big fancy cars, excessive purchasing, etc. For example, we all own just 4 pairs of shoes, not many items of clothing, I own ONE purse, etc.
