Sandra is blackout badass or what? I feel like it is their top album because it has two of the biggest love songs on it, and the rest are ☆hard rocking ☆ badasses and, of course, animal magnetism and lovedrive are right behind 🎉

When i first heard this album back in 1980 i thought...what the hell is this music ! I had never heard a rock album like this EVER before.. Animal Magnetism is pure genius...
Post-Uli, I'd have to say that the first two albums with Matthias - "Lovedrive" (1979) and "Animal Magnetism" (1980) are just masterpieces. 40-some years later now, and I never get sick of listening to them. They're timeless, classic hard rock.
My first Scorpions album - it changed my musical life immediately- introduced me to the band then I bought Virgin Killer, In Trance and Taken By Force before Blackout came out. By then, I then found Michael Schenker Group, UFO and then bought Lonesome Crow, Fly To The Rainbow and Lovedrive before Love At First Sting came out. Now I consider Michael Schenker/UFO as my favorite, then Uli.era Scorpions a close second!
Have to say that Animal Magnetism is my favorite Scorpions album. Next would have to be Blackout. Thanks for posting!

Animal Magnetism is such an intimate and beautiful album. I first got the chance to listen to it as a 16 years old in 90's! Enchanting, even now!
Love the Scorpions. I grew up listening to scorps starting with Virgin killers.
As a young 15 year old Guitarist just starting AM was a great record that helped me get Riff playing and some speed develop in my early playing . Make It Real , Don't make Promises and the 1st Scorp song I learned The Zoo !!!
One of my favorite albums blackout at first love Drive second place and of course animal magnetism is in the top three❤❤❤

Hey, where can I get this on DVD? The 50th Anniversary Editions don't seem to include it. Very confusing. As well as Tokyo Tapes and Taken By Force... no DVD?
Michael Schenker is a major influence on the
Scorpions signature sound which began with the Lovedrive album which helped pave the way for the Scorpions formula sound. For example if you listen to Coast To Coast, this was later used to formulate No One Like You. Also lyrically Scorpions copied Michael Schenker’s band from their UFO days. Take “Only You Can Rock Me” kickin’ out just like a Hurricane, Scorpions later made Rock You Like A Hurricane. Although I love the Scorpions, I hate how they do not like to give credit where credit is due. If you listen to Lovedrive that is where the Scorpions produced their signature sound due to the help of Michael Schenker who did not want to deal with the pressures of being a top guitarist living life in the fast lane. Scorpions have the fame but Michael Schenker in the 70’s was highly influential to a long list of groups and out of all of them, the Scorpions copied his style the most. I have all the UFO albums and Scorpions albums. The influence is unmistakable.
Michael wasn’t even aware he wasn’t credited with his work on Love Drive until the Scorpions asked him to work on their 50th anniversary boxset. I guess thats why the rift between the brothers.

This album lacks the energy of Lovedrive and Blackout - the production is also weaker. The reasons for this don't really come out in these interviews.
i think its their best album, totally raw and klaus vocals are so cool
The music is great, but the production lets down strong tracks like Make it Real. Lady Starlight sounds like it was recorded in the toilets. Shame.
@@michaelstephen819 That's why I don't like the Original Version of the "Metal Song" Animal Magnetism (There is also a song with the same name - a Demo. It's a regular upbeat rock song). The american band Testament did it better version.
