Is one of your window switches on your driver's side (master) not working? First check to see if the switch to the actual window works. It it does, then that means there is most likely an issue with the master switch assembly. This video shows you how to pop out and change the master switch assembly.
The part number in the link above is supposedly good for Honda Accord years 2013-2015. You can try taking the original assembly apart to solder if that's your gift, but I don't have the tools to work at the microlevel. It's much easier to just switch out the entire assembly- very close to plug and play.
You'll need two medium flat blade screwdrivers, one medium phillips screwdriver, and a new master switch assembly. After you pop out the arm rest attachment, you'll just unscrew the master switch assembly and screw in the new one. Test the assembly before securing the arm rest piece back into place. - Jak na to + styl
I just had my window button break yesterday and unfortunately my window was stuck in the down position in the rain...smh. but I ordered this part and followed the video and was able to complete this all by myself. I appreciate this video soooo much. It saved me hundreds of dollars and so stress❤❤❤❤
Love this. Glad it helped!
Update: I ordered the window switch from Amazon for $28.99 received it the next morning, installed it and IT WORKED!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤ THANK YOU again!!❤ I was so happy, actually over joyed, praised the Creators!! My car window was down for 5 days and I was worried about someone breaking in my car!! Thank you thank you!!❤ 4:27
So glad this helped you! This is why I love teaching and creating!
Thank you so much! This worked like a charm. Saved me HUNDREDS of dollars. Discount Auto Parts wanted to charge me $230 for the master switch. When I ordered it from Amazon like you suggested, I saved $200! Thank you for your knowledge and wisdom!
I'm glad it worked!!
I had the exact same front passenger window problem on my 2015 Honda Accord. Solution, turn on ignition, roll down passenger window using passenger control, roll up and hold up for 12 seconds. It is reset and drivers control worked again without replacing anything.
Well damn!! Had I known that, I would've tried that first
haha thanks man ! I was having this issue with my 2016 Honda outta nowhere and that did the trick !
Hey i was freaking out thinking i needed this replaced, turns out its a known issue. Same with the starters im only at 36k miles and ive already had to replace the starter -_- BUT you just saved me a ton of money!!! I appreciate you!!!
OnG this just worked on my 2015 Honda Accord
Thank you both!! Just fixed this exact problem in my 2013 accord, Ex-L
You are awesome. Your video saved me $460. The dealer was going to charge me $500 for this. Given the part I bought was a $40 after-market purchase. None-the-less, thank you for this video!
LOL glad I was able to fix it on my first try. Glad it helped you too!
Same here. Dealer quoted me $400..Looks easy enough to me
Its great to know a honda technician because they know all the reset tricks! The tech advised me of this trick right at the dealership and told me "try it right here in the parking lot" and it worked!. There's even tricks on how to boost the bass sound.
Thank you for the detail in your video. Worked like a charm. Thanks!
Thank you!! I was able to remove my 2009 Acura TSX Driver Side Switch Assembly, Power Window Master - Acura (35750-TL2-A11). You gave GREAT directions.
Cool- had no idea it would work for Acura too
Thorough video and a simple fix. Thanks for this.
Thanks so much for making this video. You were clear with directions and showed everything. Definitely appreciate the help!
I'm super glad it helped!
Thank you so much. You saved me lots of money with this. 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏼👍🏼
Your video came in clutch for me ,thanks!
Thank you! I was stuck on the white lever part of the project, and you explained it well.
Glad I was able to help
This was a perfect video explained everything clearly 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much you made it very easy and saved me a lot of money
I am super glad to hear that!
Life saver! Thank you sir! Great job explaining!
Excellent video! I had my switch done in less than 5 minutes! Thanks for posting it!
Glad this old video still helps people!
My car is a 2012 accord, but this video was on spot 👌🏽 🙌🏾 thanks man, well detailed
Super glad to hear that!
Amazing! I am in New Zealand and my 2007 Toyota "Wish" windows would not work from the drivers controller. I went to each window, (2 rear, + passenger) and held each switch in the up position for 12 seconds...and they all worked! What a relief! Apparently it is not just a Honda characteristic. Thanks you guys! ( I thought it was BS, but it's not. LOL)
You just saved me money! Your video was the best & I fixed my window.
Glad I could help!
Thank you!! Just fixed my window..yay!!
This is a job anyone who doesn't know how to work on cars can do!! I'm replacing the one on my 2012 honda accord and I'm hoping this fixes my problem!! Thank you for showing how to!! ❤ I'll bet this fix would cost at least$100-$200 or maybe more.
Did it work?! I have same car
Did it work? I also have a 2012 Honda accord
🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thanks it’s winter this is perfect timing
Thanks for the pointers..it was exactly what I needed
Glad it helped!
Bro was super long winded with this jawn!!!! Thank you tho!!
It’s worked Very useful information Thanks
Glad it helped!!
Hhmm, looks like the same control panel as my ILX...solved my question on if I could pop it out of the door panel! You're the man. My switch decided to pop out of the socket and no longer works.
Good luck getting it outta there
@@SuperSimpleFixes stupid thing is $170 too! Think I hit my key fob just enough to bump the windows down a little bit, right before winter in Minnesota. Kinda got forced into doing it now! Thank you for the video and kind reply.
Thank you it helped me a lot 👍🏻
Glad to hear it!
Thank you for saving me $$$ at the mechanic!!
LOVE hearing this!
Perfect
Reinstalling mine was different, there is a lip on the front of mine that must push in and snap first, besides that, PERFECT TUTORIAL!!!
Love the fact that it worked for you!!
Thank you! Just figured out and fixed my loose connection in a parking lot! 😆
Great job!
Awesome!! So helpful!!!! Got r dun
thank you sir 🔥🤠
Glad it worked out!
I was just glad I didn't have to take the door panel off, after working on cars all day the last thing I wanna do is go home and pull my car apart.
I took the extra steps to undo 3 screws holding the cover on the circuit board. I measured to see if the suspect switch was doing its job. In the down direction it switched to zero ohms. In the up position, it wavered up and down 150 ohms or so but never zero. I sprayed a little contact cleaner into the sliding switch part and moved it back and forth a number of times. After a bit, the switch started to work showing zero ohms in both directions. window now goes up and down. Mine was the passenger rear. The solder points are accessible so if anyone knows where to source these switches, it would be a better fix than contact cleaner. PS the switches are diffferent from my 09 civic.
On my 15 Accord it's the rear passenger that's spotty on performance. Still working but not always the first time.
Dealership wanted $690.00 plus tax I did it myself for $60.00 thank you, video helped a lot. I have an Acura TSX but the parts are very similar.
Super glad to hear that!
I know this is gonna sound goofy.
But to keep from scratching leather and such interior. I use a poker cards. Great tutorial .
I live in the Uk my Honda Civic has a similar issue with the same looking unit and the same button which is driver's side
Thanks it looks quick and easy
It is once you get the part. Really plug and play.
Part not good for 2012
@@captbss Supposedly only good for years 2013-2015 based on my research. It's in the description under the video.
Found one on Amazon. Less wire removal
@@captbss Hi can you give me the link please my car also 2011
Thank you so much! This helped me and my mom a lot!
Very glad to hear this!
Hey thanks so much for this video . What that work for a 2012 Honda accord 4 cylinder. ? And was it pretty expensive???
For a 2012, I'm not sure. The part was supposedly for 2013 models and up. I'm sure there's gotta be something for 2012s tho!
I can’t get the rear wire connector Piece out even though I’m turning that little white plastic lock in mechanism any suggestions? It seems stuck and I’ve been trying for an hour
thanks for the video man. my car (2016 Honda Accord) has the exact same issue. can the front windows automatically up/ down with one click after your changed it? or is there any setting you need to do to make it work?
I wasn't sure so I literally went out to test it. No extra settings needed to make it go all the way up or down on mine after I changed it!
@@SuperSimpleFixes awesome. thank you!
I found this because I had the same issue on a 2012 Accord and thought it was the switch (which includes the driver's multiplex controller). However, even with a new factory switch it didn't work. I put the old part in and it of course still didn't work. Went out to the car 3 hours later and it worked 7 times in a row. If I had just put in the new switch at that time, I would have assumed that it was simply a bad driver's side window switch. However, the eigth time I tried it, it went down 1/4 inch and quit working.
UPDATE: The car has a body code B1145 (passenger window position detect circuit). According to the diagnostic flow chart we should replace the passenger window switch (substitute a known good part). If it still has a problem, replace the window motor. (yes it makes no sense since they both work from the passenger door) It is probably the passenger window switch multiplex not passing the request from the driver's multiplex to the passenger window motor.
SOLVED: I received the new passenger window switch (35760-TA0-A31) and installed it. The window would still only work from the passenger side and not the driver side. You must do the power window control unit reset whenever you replace or substitute any power window parts. After doing the reset procedure, the windows now function properly.
Jeez, didn't realize it was so finicky. Thanks for the update!
Nice job, excellent detail. The part is rather pricey and I'm wondering if it's possible that spraying some DeoxyitD5 on the switch contacts area might solve the issue. Wondering when part removed if contacts visible? Just curious. I've got a 2015 Accord and at least one window getting a little iffy. Still works but often takes 2-3 flicks to work. Guess it depends on the root cause of the failure.
Yes, I'm not sure about the contact visibility. I did this quite a while ago. Some guy in the comments mentioned some sort of hack that kind of reset the part without replacement. Scroll around and see if you can find it...
@@SuperSimpleFixes Thanks for the reply. I will look closer at the reset, but what I saw seemed to have something to with windows not going all the way up or down once button touched. But I'll look closer. As mentioned, still works, just not always on first try. Thanks again.
contact cleaner worked on mine. see my full comment
I'd like to see inside that assembly. I'm curious if the backlight behind the switches are replaceable. It's a bit annoying at night when the switch isn't illuminated and since the things pop out so easily I thought it might be a simple bulb
I didn't want to crack it open since it was brand new- I just wanted it to work LOL. I never had a backlight on that switch tho.
@@SuperSimpleFixes if you had the old one still then I'd look at that one :p I have the previous model and the passenger side door switch isn't illuminated when the lights come on like the driver's side are which just had me curious if it was a simple bulb or if I just never noticed it. The radio has 7 backlights that are replaceable but pulling the shifter trim and working your way up to the radio is way more involved xD
@@StealthNinja4577 I don't have the old one, but I'm going to go out and check to see if I have any kind of light coming from the new assembly. Now I'm curious!
@@SuperSimpleFixes yea that's one of the little details that I feel might get left out in a replacement part cause it functionally works but in the dead of night you might be reaching for a switch.
What about a 2010 Acura TL can’t find any videos about it
If I had access to that car, I'd make videos for that too!
I have a 2013 Acoord EXl with same issue will this switch work on the 2013
Google the switch part to see what Accord it will work with
Thanks for the video, I went ahead and changed it but still front Assange window not working... could it be the module in between?
Hard to tell without seeing it. Are all your connections good?
@@SuperSimpleFixes the control is new, the connections are the ones from factory so I will have to check see if they are good. IT has to be between the drivers control and the passangers window, because it does work from the passangers control... king of frustating lol
@@aldon78 Oh man- I see what you mean. Yeah, that's gotta be frustrating!
See my post above.
@@BlakeAutomotive Above where?
I am the first to have known this first, so I don't have to say "if I had known this first...".
I thank you so much for your video! I followed it to the T. I did everything except my plugs are stuck :( I’m afraid of breaking it. Any suggestions?
It's tough to say without seeing which plugs you're talking about. The white one with the tab is the only one that is "locked" from what I remember. You have to press a tab to unlock it
I have 2011 and my drivers side window doesn’t roll up I put a new part like u did but still having problems
Hard to tell what the issue might be without looking at it. Loose wires, faulty controller...? I know it might be a pain, but have you tried the new controller on the other window? If it's not good there, you know the new controller is faulty.
What if both of the window controls don’t work I have a 2014 Honda civic two door and right hand door switch stopped working on me then I thought wierd… let me try the main also failed and seems to be jammed when I press it down :(… any suggestions?
Someone mentioned a hack two years ago in this comment section. Not sure if it would work for you... Turn on ignition, roll down passenger window using passenger control, roll up and hold for 12 seconds and it could reset the drivers control without replacing anything.
Problem is I think you're saying the passenger control doesn't work. In this case, try googling honda driver window reset and see if you can find any info on that...
I’m stuck on this, man. My 2012 accord has an additional outlet labeled “A1” on the panel - not just the big grey one.
Shoot, I'm not familiar with 2012s... Maybe someone created a video for that model year
Hi everyone. My Honda crosstour 2010, all windows work except the passenger side window didn’t at all. I tried the master window control on the driver side and window control of the passenger and I checked and changed the fuse of passenger side and didn’t work either so I don’t know what to do. Please help. Thanks
I don't know anything about Crosstours but maybe this guy does...

Hope somebody answer my question (Honda Accord 2006). Can a glass window ran in its canals so bad to the point that burnt the electric motor? This question is because I just installed a new motor and regulator (combo) and it worked for a little while then burned fuse… after replacing fuse and with the window switch in my hands I connected the old electric motor (out of the window) and it runs perfectly. Now I ended with the window driver stacked all the way up… but with a new part in it.
Note.- If there is any video dealing with this same issue… can you post the link?
I don't know the answer to this question. I hope you find what you're looking for!!
What was the cost of the new window controller?
I didn't want to mess around, so I bought a genuine honda part. It cost $200 but it worked. The link is in the description- unfortunately, it looks like it's out of stock.
Will this work on 2014 Honda Civic ? 😭
Just researched the 2014 honda civic controller. It looks a little different. I've never had a civic so I can't guarantee anything...
@@SuperSimpleFixes I just tried it but no luck
Where is the link
It's in the description above. I'll pop it here. Honda (35750-T2A-A11) Power Window Master Switch Assembly

All u gotta do is reset the main switch control module.
You don’t have to buy any new parts.
You might be right. I didn't know that at the time, but it's fixed!
how do you do the reset?
It seems to be unlocked all the way but it’s it will not release
I'm just seeing this. Did you figure it out? It's hard to tell what's happening without visuals...
@@SuperSimpleFixes no I haven’t been able to get pull the part out that needs to be replaced I have followed all the steps it appears to be stuck. I have thought about using some sort of lubricant to losses but afraid it will damage wiring.
@@carolynnicole5139 Can you send me a picture and use a pen or something to point to what's stuck? It's been a LONG time since I've done this job. Maybe a picture will help. klyt2021@gmail.com
you are going to confuse the heck out of people there is no left or right in a circle what if they are coming from the bottom to the top what if they are going from left to right or right to left what if they are only looking at the right side or the left side or the bottom side of the screwdriver then that logic doesn't apply anymore technically speaking there is no right left top nor bottom in a circle 🔴⭕ is either clockwise or counterclockwise only unless you are talking about directions in relation to your own particular orientation
