  • We all know that car manufacturers sometimes add in small Easter eggs into their cars. Sadly Subaru has not done anything super cool however there are some hidden features that you may not know about. In this video we are going to talk about what Easter eggs there are for the GD, GR and VA Chassis and how to do them. If anyone else has any that I couldn't find please drop them in the comments!

@@gokartin1 the " bigger screen" or the 7" starlink screen that is optional, is where the rear view is displayed. Unlike the models without this screen the rear view camera is displayed on the dash instrument cluster in the center where the boost gauge lives. I do not believe it's possible to activate that while driving. The larger screen option has an info button built in that if held will provide a diagnostics screen.

For "GR" models there's a feature on the key fob that allows you to make your car honk its horn three quick times in succession by repeatedly hitting the lock button on the key fob, handy when you can't remember where you parked your Subaru. I admittedly had to use it a few times lol!

With the VA chassis if you actually go through your info screen on top of the dash and scroll to where you can edit things.
    Scroll to car setting
    Click keyless buzzer volume

And you won’t have that chime when you unlock and lock your car.

One of the must do on that area in my opinion is to cut the wire behind the HVAC control to keep the AC from turning on when the blower is set to windshield, AC zaps the precious low end torque those 2.0 already did not have Lol, and I liked having the upper air flow on the windshield not the dash level. Also removing the daytime running light resistor pack was a bulb saver, I always just tuned on my lights any time I drove, and I believe the start up voltage jump was killing bulbs since I had replaced them very often, till I removed the DRL pack, then the ebay yellow bulb lasted for years till I sold the car.
