3. Phantoms revenge!! Amazing ride, but I just like others more!!
2. Jackrabbit!! Classic wooden coaster. I think it’s self explanatory.
1. THUNDERBOLT!! I really love this coaster!! Very fun, and fast!! There is many fast drops on this roller coaster, making it very entertaining. Please consider riding it!!

I never rode phantom before but thunderbolt is amazing
The steel curtain was my #1 ... Today I have a bad heart condition. The thrill you get at that first drop is amazing. The ride that I can only handle today is the park benches. I miss my roller coaster days .... Kennywood was my childhood memory ... Today I enjoyed the screams and laughter of others on the rides.
Hearing the excitement makes the day all much better for me ....

I went on sky rocket twice today, i didnt get to go on steel curtian its closed down, but i did also go on phantoms revenge

Sky Rocket and Phantom's Revenge are my favorite rollar Coasters in the whole park. I haven't gone on Steel Curtain tho.

The launch and top hat on Sky Rocket are great but I find the rest of the ride to be quite boring.

Phantom is my number 6 favorite coaster i put fury 325 above it due to it being more intense

Prob my fav there it was my first ride when I get to Kennywood and it still is!
In my opinion it is
1. Steel curtain
2. Phantom
3. Jack rabbit
I was just here on Thursday the 1st with some friends, and went on literally every ride. These three were my favorites. Steel curtain was a little disappointing. I think if skyrocket was longer, and had more places to accelerate, it would probably rank above steel curtain. Also, the jackrabbit, thunderbolt (I think that’s what it’s called but I’m not sure someone remind me), and the racer are great wooden coasters to go on, as they’re fun, fast, safe, and very nostalgic. Hopefully this helps a few people!
Lemme rate the lines on each real quick
3: phantoms revenge - has like more than 20 people less than 40
2: sky rocket - usually it has more than 30 less than 50, but on a good day 10-20
3: steel curtain -oh my freaking gosh like more than 100 people less then 170
If I were you I’d check in the steel curtain every hour to see if it’s smaller of a line.

3. Steel Curtain I went on it twice and got the front second time and loved it I did not like tho when u go up and u r sitting straight back but it’s still the best one there

If you sit in the front the hang time is insane off the top hat and mid course brakes
I HATE that steel curtain is going to be closed down. But if I go back to kennywood at least I will have the sky rocket to add to my bucket list. Steel curtain looks like an amazing roller coaster

You wouldn’t happen to know what’s going on with steel curtain? I’ve seen a post on Reddit (18/4/24) that it might be scrapped due to unreliability 😟I’ve never ridden it so I’d be pissed if it was torn down.

I just came from Washington Pennsylvania this Monday June 5 2023 and Saturday I went to Kenny wood visited Pittsburgh visited form Tallahassee Florida thoa I felt robbed of my money because I got there at 3or 4 and they stopped the rides because of supposed thunderstorm but it didn’t rain one bit but they opened the rides back at 6 something first ride was supposed to be sky rocket but we walked around first ride was the exterminator then thunderbolt then the purple big ghost phantom then sky rocket tried the Pittsburgh ride but was a 45 min wait so I just walked around and got o whatever rides I could in as fast as I could
Got my first visit here yesterday! Was definitely a great park and enjoyed the coasters for sure! I’m still debating if I liked steel curtain or phantom’s revenge more.

@@chibiturtleXx Loved it! Missed riding exterminator, so I have an excuse to come back lol! Only complaints that have maybe do to having King Island as a home park. So may not be a far comparison. Some operations were slow and I feel the parking lot was tight leaving. Which I’ll give the benefit of the doubt that it is a 125 year old park. Outside of that the rides and atmosphere were Great! Definitely worth the 4 hour drive there and 4 hours back.

Skyrocket was the best until they slowed it down
Tried the jackrabbit as my first ever roller coaster, damn near had a panic attack and then my girls phone fell out her front pocket but I noticed and had to death grip it while terrified the rest of the time 😂😅 fun times. No more coasters for me though, not my thing lol
Roller coasters Usually have cubby holes or boxes to take everything out of your pockets before you get on. Or get a pair of shorts with zipper pockets
@@MidwestBoom she had it in her overalls pocket on her chest and forgot about it until I looked over and it was dancing on the handles while we went up lol
Please don't bring loose articles on coasters. People could get seriously hurt.
@@BluePineappleCoasters as I stated the phone happened to be in her front overall pocket, she didn’t intend to bring it but we both have ADHD and forgot it was there so by the time we noticed I had to be Superman and save her phone thru the anxiety. Trust me man we learned real quick lol
