If one were to coat the insides first. the outsides could be allowed to cure well. This avoids setting the outsides on the work surface before the coating hardens.
Good video. Liked the close-up views comparing the old pistons and lip seals to new pistons and o-rings. Only thing I might add would be using your socket wrench as a template to make a cardboard "plug" to cover the bores while painting the calipers.
🟥 Good job........That's what she said 🤪 . Also, is this coating impervious to brake fluid? As we all know, dot 3 will eat most paints. Also, also, I'm thinking dot 4 is tougher than dot 3. What's your opinion?
I don’t think the coating will hold up to brake fluid, but it’s supposed to be pretty good as far as rust is concerned. I don’t know about D4 vs. D3. I’m not a mechanic and mainly work on older vehicles. Maybe someone else here can help. 👍🏼
Interesting that CZcams has listed as 22k likes on most of the providers which I have viewed lately. Same number no matter the subject matter. VERY ODD FYI
They have different versions. Some are for engines, others more for frame & body. The one I used is actually the “Top Coat” version, not the engine version, but I think it will handle brake calipers just fine.
Thanks for asking. The car is still in the works and there’s a ways to go before brakes will come into play - likely a couple months. This heat is slowing progress too!

Good suggestion. I ended up using my Laser to cut circles from card stock - just an excuse to use it!

Good luck! Hoping for no leaks!
After spending the extra for the o-rings, let’s hope not!
@@thedrivewayC3 Will the kit work if the calipers have stainless steal sleves
@@SidneyHughes I believe mine do have the SS sleeves and they fit just fine. You can call CSSB and they will be happy to help you.

Is the coat good for high temperatures? Very interesting

Any update?
How have they been working?
Thanks!
