True story: learned about your work under your new name, saw this video, and ended up spending 2 weeks getting into Lana del Ray because I have poor attention to detail.
Elle, happy to know you in this configuration. On my 21st birthday, I got a 3 x 5 file card from my grandfather. He was a truly unique character and played a major role in how I choose to leive may life. Her is what the card said. ""Jeff: Wanted to send you a birthday card but forgot to pick one up so this will have. to do. On your 21st birthday, my advice to you is never be afraid to look another man in the eye and tell him the truth." That line of advice has proved its value over the years. Good luck Elle, and just keep telling us the truth.

It’s a business decision. She wants her own name to be recognized for the work she’s put in. That has nothing to do with courage.

@@BrandonWestfall- I know what you’re saying, and I can’t really judge whether it took courage or not, because I don’t know her - but courage comes in many forms. If there’s something you find a bit scary, but you do it anyway because you feel you have to - that to me is courage, whether it’s a business decision or a child taking their first steps.

@@tryste_mx Ah you see, it's all in the eye of the beholder. If you are twenty or below (age) then she is getting-on a bit but to someone of my age, she is young. Young / old; tall / short are really relative terms depending on our own position in the scale. So he's right - and so are you. For the record, she is aged about 35 (2003) I believe, so if there is an absolute scale in human longevity, I suppose she is early middle-age but she's young to me and old to you and always will be. All the best.

It's funny you mention the more "nerdy" content to come, because.... I'm not an expert in your work but I've been a casual. regular, and greatful consumer of your music online, often sharing with friends, etc. But somehow...and maybe it's b/c I'm back on Instagram and your space poetry vids have made their way into my feed, it's only recently that I became aware of that output. And JUST LAST WEEK, I said to a couple of friends: "Remember the artist whose songs I've shared a bunch of times...(Don't Think Twice' was a popular one)? Turns out they are a hardcore space and Star Trek nerd!" We all love it. So, congrats, and looking forward to what's to come..
