Home Free is doing a cover--and paying homage to--the original, but making it their own.
As far as I'm concerned all of the Home Free guys "emote" through their music/videos better than just about anyone else out there--and in this one Rob showcases his gospel/R&B genius in a way that seems to surprise everyone ❣️❣️❣️
Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves.
Some of my favorites are "Working for a Living", "Land of the Free", "Elvira" (with the Oak Ridge Boys), "Undivided", "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up" (which is not on YT--it's on their official Facebook page) and now "Listen to the Music"😍!

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound.

Welcome to Home Free !!! Rob just crushed this as the lead, and Austin did too as 2nd lead....could you tell they sing country as well....they can sing it all....and no instruments, all acapella here/

New subscriber. Great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas! They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. I loved how Tim(the bass) and Rob( lead singer for this song) knocked you over. They have a tendency to do that..a lot. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Rob Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They just released a cover of Listen to the Music. It's phenomenal!! Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!

4 World Clase Voices + 1 World Class Beatboxer (who has a pretty decent voice too). I'm not going to claim their the best acapella group (highly subjective) but I don't know anyone who wouldn't have them on their shortlist.

This is so good. When they were on the NBC show the Sing Off (they won in 2013) Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they wanted to do right by him. That was Tim Foust, the bass, doing the low notes. He has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and sing up with the tenors. Rob (glasses and lead here) killed it. Home Free is so good. Good reaction!😀

And...another one falls down the rabbit hole. You are so fucking doomed. We'll save you a chair.
You're about to be buried in Home Fries.
Your next listen should probably be Man Of Constant Sorrow. It will give you a good overview of the men and their voices. But, you MUST wear headphones or you'll miss half of their awesome harmonies.
Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks. God bless ‘em.
All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. He's a two-time world champion vocal percussionist and there're good reasons he's called a "Freak of Nature" and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam's incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete's sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain't Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up (that video is on Facebook), and his drum solos.
For more of Tim's seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version).
For Chance's smooth baritone, check out Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome.. basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow.
For Rob's soulful tenor, check out Blue Ain't Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.)
For Austin's soaring power tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.)
For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Brother, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget.
For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.)
For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne.
For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female.
For more of their wonderful collaborations, check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, Children Go Where I Send Thee with the late Kenny Rogers, Don’t Laugh At Me with Mark Wills, Christmas In Dixie with Alabama, or Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For with Peter Hollens.
Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. After Mayday, you'll be ready for Tim and Austin doing My Maria or Tim's mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay.
Then, when you come up for air, check out Rob and Austin singing Nessun Dorma. You'll need smelling salts after that one.
Don't miss their official videos. The Home Free men will often do a straight, gorgeous vocal performance, but they'll add elements of humor to the video that will leave you chuckling or even laughing out loud. (Folsom Prison Blues, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Working For A Living, Brother).
Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.”
You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.

Waooo!!!....Congratulations my friend Esther!! ...I want invite you to give us your opinion, like music lover, reacting to who is considered the best singer of the world...His name is Dimash Kudaibergen, a young singer who handle 7 octaves and 3 semitones of vocal range (An alien)...He has been singing since he was 5 years (he is 28 now) and he can sing in more than 15 languages...But if you decide to react to Dimash for the first time, please don't do it with his most recent songs ... I recommend that you go to the year 2017 and react to the song that made him a global idol ... I mean the performance he did of the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one...You have to be prepared because you are likely to receive a flood of views, comments and new subscribers....And I have to give you a warning: Never react to The World Best videos, because they deceived him and treated him very badly.!...I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Dimash....Here you have the best high quality video of Dimash performing S.O.S. Live 2017.....czcams.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/video.html
