These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance is holding down the bass in the back, Tim adding some deeper bass notes & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men was one of the judges on the "Sing Off" that Home Free won & he was a big fan of these guys from the start. I'm sure he loved their version of this song.
Tim Foust is the bass singer. Adam Chance (known as Chance) sings baritone, but also has the range to cover the bass part when Tim is singing another part.

@@AGaneeReacts you've barely scratched the surface of their talent. Buckle up because it's gonna be a wild ride. Another popular one that will blow your mind for different reasons is "Man of Constant Sorrow".
This is not supposed to be an exact match to what Boys 2 Men did….it is a cover. They are doing their take on the song with their own twists and tweaks. Their covers are for the most part are upgrades of the original.
Tim is bass and Sub-woofer. Really. Check "Misty Mountains" and "Ring of Fire."

For an original, try Playing with Fire or Give Me a Sign (in which Tim Foust, the bass, has the lead).
As others have indiated Tim Foust is the Basso Profondo which is the lowest bass. His range is 5 octaves. Brothers in Arms is another genre song that really brings out Tim Foust's low bass. This song is originally a rock song by Dire Straits. This was converted by another group I believe a country in Europe to Acapella. There are two low singers in Home Free. The bass, Tim Foust has a low rang of C0, and the baratone/bass, Adam Chance has a low of A1. This just means that if you put their lows on a volume knob it wouldn't even be to half. A beautiful and impactful song that showcases both bass and harmony is Home Free "Brothers In Arms."
Tim Foust is the bass singer.. He has a 5 octave vocal range... Adam Chance is the Baritone.. He has a 4 octave vocal range and can also sing as low as Tim. Rob Lundquist is the lead tenor.. Austin Brown is the high tenor.. Adam Rupp is the beat boxer... He also can sing good.. But he mostly beatboxes. He is also a tenor.

The song I'll recommend as a "next" for you is "Man of Constant Sorrow" - partly because you'll get to see the talented Adam Rupp "play" harmonica, and partly because you'll get to hear both Austin Brown (who was the lead in "When a Man Loves a Woman") and Tim Foust, who I see others have already told you is the bass singer you wanted to know the name of. The lead singer in this song is Rob LInquist, and the final member is Adam Chance (who I've mostly seen get called Chance to differentiate him from Adam Rupp). These men are all incredibly talented.
For an original of theirs, check out "Champagne Taste" or "Stargazer Lily." The first is a Tim Foust original, the second is an Austin Brown. Edited to add: "Champagne Taste" was filmed and released back when Chris Rupp was a member of the group. Adam Chance replaced him when Chris moved on to produce solo, but Chris and Adam Rupp started the band way back in 2003.
There are many sides to Rob (who sang lead this time). There's R&B Rob, Country/Bluegrass Rob, Opra Rob, Gospel Rob...

Shawn Stockman from BoysIIMen was one of the judges in the sing-off when Home Free won... He brought up them covering this song, they only request them change the bass singer Michael McCary's talking part.. unknown for what reason... But Home Free always changes something up in every cover to make it their own... They won a contract with Sony after the contract, some songs they cover Sony can be a little whiny about for reactors to cover... You're doing a great job!! Home Free is considered the only all a cappella country group, although as you can see they also cover many different genres, that includes country, gospel, R&B and some older rock and roll...
Home Free put out a number of originals this past year, my favorite of which was "Playing with Fire," written by their high tenor, Austin Brown. Highly recommend that one.
If you like tim bass I should let you know that tim has been known to blow the concert speakers with his bass. If you want to hear some good homefree original songs are snow globe written by Tim foust he also wrote champagne taste on a beer budget another song to check out if you like is Skull and bones the lyrics version as well as the live performance they did for ubisoft video game company that chance wrote.
You might also want to check out homefree's sea shanty medley. Snap back is a good video as well as check some of the guys news videos like stand by me as seen on tv version they also did as seen on tv versions of pretty women and they did homefree version as seen on tv cruise, other videos to check out sold, playing with fire, between a rock and a heartache, also working for a living. Check 9 to 5 they have done. Never give up is good .
