We're back with episode 2 of the @OzTrailsNWA vlog series. This one focuses on a zone called Black Apple. It's not far from downtown and very easy to get to. On top of that, It has something for pretty much every level of rider. Follow along in this video for the full scoop.
We start out at on my our favorite family spots, Airship coffee. It's located on 5th street, just outside of down town. The coffee, pastries, and food are excellent and you're sure to catch local shredders getting prepped for a ride.
The Black Apple zone is located just north of Tiger Blvd and just south of NW A st. You can access it by taking the greenway and All American from Lawrence Plaza or you could just do what we did and park at the small lot on Tiger and Cub Cr. From there, you roll under the overpass and hook a left.
Trail Layout
Apple Turnover - This is a slow, technical, two way trail that will test your skill. It's fun to session certain spots and aim to clear the entire section without putting a foot down.
Black Apple trail - Green trail that connects to the tunnel that will take you to Park Springs Park
Rotten to the Core - Black trail with a few skinnies and some chunky sections. I really think this one is aspirational for those riders looking to test their slow speed technical skill. It's also two way, so be ready to yield to oncoming riders.
Apple Dumplin - Fun jump line the gets progressively faster as you go down . Remember to PRE RIDE, RE RIDE, and FREE RIDE so you don't wreck yo self.

I love this feedback Damon! We're really trying to weave in as many entities as possible into each of these videos. Bentonville is certainly the sum of it's parts and there are so many great places here!

Rich I came to one of your RideSeries sessions in March, right after Bentonville got that crazy snowfall. I can’t wait to come back and try out some more of the trails and I really want to come to the jump series! Thanks for all that you do and being a great teacher!

Etnies Culvert Mid is my favorite shoe next to the Vans Half Cabs.
I found the Abajo Peak a couple of years ago been such a great bike. I have an older model with X-Fusion suspension.

I think they just retuned the last jump or two because people were sending it directly into the face of the last jump and getting hurt. That was the last I heard but it should be here to stay.
