  • Part of our "Best of 2022" replay series, listen again as Lisa speaks with Dave Dowling about growing snapdragons!
I've been growing snapdragons for over two decades and thought I had a handle on it---but NOT after this discussion with Dave Dowling! In this episode, we are talking about extending the harvest season, how to do that but variety selection, harvesting, conditioning, and more! This is but a small sampling of what it is like to learn from Dave. I am so pleased to have Dave as one of our online course instructors.
Learn more about his course and get on the waitlist for his June enrollment for Bulbs, Perennials, Woodies, and More!

THANK YOU! Just put Potomac snap seeds in my cart, even though they're $6.50 per 50 seeds, because here in the sub tropics we need the most heat tolerant types.

Plant 6-8 weeks before last Frost date. Plant what? Seeds, seedlings? I'm 6 weeks out and if I harden off & put my snaps in the ground - they're surely to get hit with Frost. So, put flats in a cold frame and bring in when it freezes? I don't get it.

I'm not clear when Dave is saying "flowers in 12 weeks" if he means from the point of transplanting or seed starting. When I start my seeds, I don't get usable 'plugs' for transplant for 10 weeks. Does that seem too slow?

Wow! Tons of information. Where can I find six gallon buckets?
