- Materials:
1. Aerosol-type strong adhesive spray
Steps:
1. Carefully detach rear side of headliner (or easiest side of headliner to detach) in order to reach your arm inside of it to spray the adhesive 6 inches from target area.
2. Start furthest from you and spray a small section into the area you want to start with.
3. Brush over a small section of the headliner toward the general center of the headliner with light pressure.
4. Continue this process until you have completed the entire roof section-by-section. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
imagine titling a video , “how to bake a cake” and its a 30 second video of you pulling out the cake from the oven lol
check out the description
/peace
Brilliant! Only 29 seconds for what other youtube starlets would take 10 minutes. Great idea to provide the instructions in the written info section.
Thank you! That was exactly my thought. I get sick of watching long videos for minimal information.
I appreciate any and all videos by You Tubers simply wanting to show people how they get things done. As an old man now I wish we had these things sooner. Its too fast for me but I discovered you can slow it down by going to settings and clicking on speed....then to 0.25 - you may have to click 0.5 first play it then return to get to 0.25. Great at that speed.
Great idea slowing it down! That does make it a lot easier to understand. Thank you!
Read the description. I was thinking a cement adhesive. But this narrows it down thank you
I got nothing out of this on a "how to", but u did a good job....it looks like...
Doesn't exactly show "How to".....does it ??
I'm sorry you're confused. The "how to" part is actually in the description. The video portion just gives you a quick visual of what's going to happen.
It seems simple enough. Spray adhesive use flat surface to marry headliner with spray adhesive
the spray adhesive doesn't give you enough time to smooth over the whole area, unless there is a particular adhesive, I don't know, but this video just give enough info on the application, if you've actually done this application fair enough, but if it's just a comment on someone who is actually asking .....@@josiahamaze
Yeah wtf
2-2 = 185 it’s simple if you think about it . Credit card and for the most part adhesive is not needed hell u could run ur clean hands across it and it would stick again
Dafuq .....where did you spray? What did you spray? How in any way is this video helpful?
I used spray adhesive. Using my background knowledge that spray adhesive is typically able to bind surfaces to one another, I sprayed it between the headliner and the roof (that way the headliner would not be sagging any longer). If I had sprayed it on the outside of the headliner, I suspect the headliner would have most likely stuck to my hand as I was pushing it against the ceiling. If that had been the case, the headliner would most likely look even worse than it did to begin with. If the headliner looked worse than it did to begin with, I most likely would have refrained from posting a video claiming to fix a problem since the problem would have been clearly not fixed. To my delight, this was not the case.
@Cameron Park you're pretty salty when not everyone has background knowledge when it comes to headliner. All you filmed was pressing it down.
@@shananonishould be common knowledge to spray the adhesive to the part that's supposed to stick 🤣
For a guy who posted the crappiest “how to” video of all time, you sure have a crappy disposition! Probably why, after all these years, you only have 132 “subscribers “!
with such a supporting team i would also hurry and get on with better things to do ;-)
Very good video✌️
i would have loved some intro and explanation how you do this exactly, where you spray, but nice job
What kind of adhesive spray did you use?
thank you for your video, it was so slow, that i forgot to take notes, and yes, your girl is on the phone while you are on Fast Motion!!, very interesting,
So it's been a few years since this video was uploaded. Can you let us know how the headliner is holding up? Thanks.
nice!
Thanks for this vid it was really helpful I'm into old stuff and I may be getting an old Saab but I want to make it look brand new and I couldn't think of any way to fix the liner so again thx for the vid.
The Drop Dead Gamer No problem man! Thanks for letting me know.
Are you serious?
did that spray had a syringe? how did you spray it between the fabric and the headliner?
Looks like a 90's Park Avenue. I've just bought a '95 Olds 88 myself. I like a Park Avenue.
Yes, it is a 1991 Park Avenue. Great car!
I don’t get the dislikes. Video as described, only took 30 seconds. I wish all car DIYs were like this. Description clarified for those who couldn’t simply figure it out.
I agree! My goal was to create a quick visual to accompany the steps in the description. I just wanted to depict that it actually worked. And yes, I made sure to include in the title that it was a time-lapse.
this looks like a great video. how can i use this product on a bubble in the headliner that doesnt have a way to spray behind the headliner. its right in the middle of the headliner
That's a really good question. I don't have a great answer for you unless you did want to peel the liner all the way back to the nearest side. Obviously your liner is only going to get worse, so if I were you, I would try to find an adhesive spray that has a tiny straw attachment on the end (like WD-40) and poke a tiny hole in the headliner with a safety pin somewhere in that bubble. Then, the straw should fit easily in that hole where you can spray the adhesive and carefully push the headliner back up.The hole that you poked probably won't even show after you do that. But if it does even a little bit, it will at least look a little better than it drooping down I'm sure.
What kind of spray did you use? Did it leave soak or discolored areas? How long did it take to do? Love that you didn't have all the way through but you could've given SOME info.
Andres Quinones adhesive spray
Andres Quinones I just used an aerosol adhesive spray. It didn't leave any soaked or discolored areas (just be sure to not hold it right up against the surface you're spraying). It took me maybe an hour and a half total.
Andres Quinones And I did put detailed information on what to do and how to do it in the description of the video along with what spray I used.
@@cam14park I'm sorry, but how did you spray this glue, over the canvas, because the video doesn't show that you did this under the canvas, so I don't understand how?
@@runrun3470if you slow it down in settings you can see.. he sprayed from the back.
The girl helped the most
Yes its in the description. Thx. Maybe show the text of the steps at the beginning wouldve been better. But still, good info
Where can you buy this spray
Hi - nice - what spray I have to buy? Thanks
the best part is at 15 seconds. wow man private Motivation from a beautiful girlfriend...thats the parrt of fixing headliners which were missing in 99,99% of othrs who were doing
I did not learn how to fix it on this video lol. Thanks
What are you using to glue the headliner? Can you tell me
Did you also spray on the underside or what?
Are you straying the glue on the outside of the headliner or the underside of it where the foam is?
The underside!
If you see this, Mr. Park, is the headliner still holding up? I may want to do this myself. :-)
The car actually broke down a couple of years ago, but the headliner never gave me any more issues after this fix!
Did you just spray it out side too an pasted it because that what im about to do
Yow this us hilarious 🤣 I
It would have been nice to see it slowed down you spraying adhesive spray. And see the adhesive spray can brand and the size. All I found is gigantic 3M cans. And just make the whole thing slow because one can always advance very easily
Wow, if that's a 'how to', than I'm the Duke of Edinburgh...
What glue u use
So it has been over a year, has this repair held up?
I have a similar situation and would love it if this works, but I see a lot of folks saying that re gluing an old headliner doesn't last very long, is that true in your experience? I don't mind taking the time if it is going to last, but if it is just going to start falling down again in a few months then it might be better to pay to have it done where you get some sort of warranty I think.
Also I see where some recommend brushing or cleaning the foam so the glue has something fresh to adhere too. Thanks for sharing.
The repair is still good and I'm very pleased with how it turned out! I'm not sure about cleaning the foam, but I can see how that would ensure a better hold!
@@cam14park Good to hear it has lasted at least a year I'm about to try the same thing and I'm hoping for decent results because it's just a minor sag and I don't want to remove the whole headliner.
Needed to see what he was doing because i put the screw studs in but can't get the button to clip on while its on the car !?.
Kullandığınız ürün hakkında bilgi verebilir misiniz
what product did u use
I used Scotch Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive.
Nice
salve come si chiama il prodotto che stai utilizzando? grazie
how long did the Scotch Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive hold the liner up for?
It's actually still holding it up! I'm very impressed.
Lol, well you got it done.........but......................................................aw, nevermind, lol.......thanks
So, what he did was open the head liner from the back and respray it with the glue. I guess, its a lot quicker than take everything off.
dear, Cameron Park
Can you explain how to use the product quietly?
step by step please.
What was the kind of adhesive you used?
Kelly Pena dont use 3m
I used Scotch brand.
3M makes a headliner spray
I feel like a step is missing?
What step?
The step where the adhesive is sprayed.
Whats goin on at about the 15 second mark on this video!! Hmmm... Lol
Haha!
And I learned from this video how women keeps talking no matter what the heck u are trying to do 😂
what help? is any question answered what a waste.
Sorry! I know the video doesn't explain anything, but if you read the description, the steps are listed out. I feel like how-to videos usually have too much explaining and talking when it would be much more helpful to have a quick video to show basically what's going on and then have steps listed out in the description, so that's what I did. Some of the other comments ask a few more clarifying questions, so give those a look!
Man this job is a bitch. My headliner in my new to me car is falling all around the light in the back. I just did the headliner (admittedly not as adamantly as this gentlemen, and it looks terrible but will be functional for now. A lot of foam crap fell out from there too lol. Next time I will slow down and be more specific
J'ai trouvé une solution toute simple j'ai agrafé avec une agrafeuse de bureau
What a joke, you can't fix an old headliner. Need new material installed.😮
Where’s all the directions? lol
This video and 20 cents will get you nothing!
Wtf was that
wtf???
Totally useless without more information about what was used and HOW it was applied. Plus the music was useless, too.
Wast of time
Not really NOT HELPFUL AT ALL
Would be easier if you would have just let the video play at normal speed 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ .
