Bangladeshi people eat too much rice. More than Chinese people. Three times a day sometimes three plates full in one sitting. Rice is full of carbs which gives quick energy and is a filler food.

Hey, i was fortune to meet you both at cox's bazar near fish vendors. We had a long conversation regarding your Chittagong tour and i suggested some food to explore and visit ship breaking yard. Hope you had a good time.
In the 6-part tv series 'Himalaya' by Michael Palin, he finishes his journey in Bangladesh and visits the ship breaking yard. He sees a ship coming in, it is 'Ocean Breeze', formerly 'Southern Cross' which my Dad worked on in '68.
In America, I don't think anyone calls it a doggy bag anymore. I haven't heard that term in over 40 years. I usually just hear people say they want a "to-go box" or "take-out box."
We dont mix pickles with that rice .. we keep small portion of the pickles on the plates .. take little by. Little ..
