The Multiverse Hypothesis Explained by Neil deGrasse Tyson

  • The multiverse hypothesis or theory holds that a group of multiple universes (possibly infinite universes) comprise everything that exists: The entirety of space, time, matter, energy, information, and the physical laws and constants that describe them. The renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson explains in detail the multiverse hypothesis.
However, prominent physicists are divided about whether any other universes exist outside of our own. Some even go as far as to say that the multiverse is not a legitimate topic of scientific inquiry. Because it can not be empirically falsified. But Neil deGrasse Tyson among other prominent cosmologists, thinks that given our understanding of quantum mechanics and the theory of General relativity, the possibility of the existence of the multiverse is a legitimate scientific hypothesis.
Steven Weinberg said that if the multiverse existed, the hope of finding a rational explanation for the precise values of quark masses and other constants of the standard model that we observe in our Big Bang is doomed, for their values would be an accident of the particular part of the multiverse in which we live.
Some scientists analyzed the data from the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe, an uncrewed spacecraft operating from 2001 to 2010 that measured temperature differences across the sky in the cosmic microwave background, the radiant heat remaining from the Big Bang, and claimed they found evidence suggesting that our universe collided with other parallel universes in the distant past.
However, a more thorough data analysis from the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe and from the Planck Satellite, a space observatory operated by the European Space Agency from 2009 to 2013, which mapped the anisotropies of the cosmic microwave background, did not find any statistically significant evidence of universe collisions. there was no evidence of any gravitational pull of other universes on ours either. And to add insult to injury to the proponents that the multiverse hypothesis has been backed up by statistical evidence, the Planck satellite, has a resolution three times higher than the WMA Probe.
Our brains are not evolutionarily equipped to intuitively understand quantum mechanics and large scale cosmic phenomena. But Neil deGrasse Tyson with his usual wits explains the multiverse hypothesis in layman's terms.

I believe in temporal glitches. Moments where another universe will blend in without anyone noticing. They said we can't perceive these things on a LARGE scale but I think on a small scale we can because people have caught onto Mandela effects. I think that is a small scale example of us entering parallel universes, or more so they enter ours. That's my explanation for it at least. It's scary to imagine how many things weren't supposed to happen that *DID* if my theory is true. I won't lie I have no idea how people do equations to prove this theory but it's a strong hunch I've had the last few years. Hell, by that logic the dinosaurs extinction could have been one and humanity shouldn't even exist. 💀

So far, I am convinced with the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics. My only concern is that the idea that every quantum measurement creates multiple parallel realities prompts questions about how energy fits in this framework.
In classical mechanics, the conservation of energy states that the total energy in an isolated system remains constant over time, in that none is created or destroyed, only transformed and redistributed. If applied to the many-worlds interpretation, each multiversal branch, which is representative of a different outcome of a quantum measurement as a result of wave function collapse, would conserve energy within itself. In other words, the total energy across all branches remains constant.
However, we have to take into account quantum fluctuations, where energy can briefly pop up in a tiny space due to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. These fluctuations are inherent in the quantum nature of reality and can lead to temporary violations against energy conservation within certain constraints dictated by quantum mechanics.
The way I see it, these temporary violations are observed only in one multiversal branch. With the realization of all possible outcomes of a quantum event into separate branches, each branch will have its own probability amplitude.
From a statistical perspective, the overall energy distribution across the multiverse would follow probabilities dictated by quantum mechanics ensuring that while multiple scenarios are possible, they occur with appropriate probabilities that maintain energy balance overall, so the conservation principle is preserved.
Nevertheless, we have to take into account decoherence, one that gravely affects the quantum system as factors like the observer, other particles, and radiation become entangled with it, leading to the apparent wavefunction collapse. Decoherence remains a significant challenge in quantum computing as it introduces errors and loss of quantum information after the collapse occurred.
From a practical standpoint, the fundamental dilemma still remains: overall many-worlds-system complexity - the discussion of energy sufficiency in the many-worlds interpretation as understood within the framework of quantum reality is bound to intersect with broader debates about the nature of reality, the role of the observers, and the interpretation of quantum probabilities in various quantum interpretations.
I guess, I'd have to study more of these in quantum field theory (QFT).

I can honestly see Ben in Multiversus having access to at least 4 aliens via a selection wheel mid combat. (which kinda represents how the Omnitrix works) Depending on which variation we get we can probably expect:
Classic/10,000:Heatblast (first alien), Fourarms (currently preferred heavy hitter), Diamondhead (very important species to the series and Ben used him in his first big fight with Vilgax's giant robot and later in others), Xlr8 (everyone loves him and I just feel like Ben should have a speedster in his roster)
AF:Swampfire (first alien coming out of retirement), Bigchill (lowkey Ghostfreaks more level headed replacement and a fan favorite at the time), Humongosaur (Ben's newest and preferred heavy hitter at the time), Jetray or FastTrack (to fill the speedster slot, with Jetray making more sense since his part of the AF main 10 roster). (I kinda wanna see Goop & Rath though!)
UA:Ult Swampfire (Ben's first Ultimate alien and was used to win a huge battle), Ult Cannonbolt (I believe it's Ben's first Ult variation of one of his classics and one of his most used classic Ults, it can also sorta fill the roll of a speedy alien), Ult Bigchill (for the same reasons as what I said about AF), Ult Humongosaur (for the same reasons as AF but also cause I think he was probably the first on screen Ultimate alien cause of Albedo but I could be wrong). (I really want to see Ult Echo Echo though!)
OV:Feedback (canonically Ben's favorite alien since he was 11 and introduced in Omniverse), Gravattack (Ben's newest heavy hitter introduced in Omni as well), Bloxx (I believe he was Ben's first new alien at the beginning of Omni), Shocksquatch (introduced during the UA & GenRex crossover but shined in OV as if he was actually introduced in OV but in reality wasn't, debatable addition though tbh). (I really wanna see KickinHawk, CrashHopper, Areodcytle & Bullfrag though)
UA+OV+AF+OS:Heatblast, Humongosaur, Feedback & Turtle alien (since his the only one of the five special UA aliens that doesn't contrast the other three currently selected aliens in some way)
Idk who to select for the reboot but here's my attempt.
Reboot:Shockrock (very important to the series if I remember correctly), Waterhazardlookalike (one of the first leaked aliens and probably first new alien of the franchise), idk, idk.
If they use only Ben's classic 10 aliens they could theoretically make skins for all the other variations of Ben.
I think Classic Ben has a 80% chance of getting in while AF/UA is like 40%, OV 90% & Reboot 99% chance.
I still don't know if there are supers in this game but if there are I expect Classic Ben or 10.000 to use Waybig or Upchuck (Up cause in the DS video game you can use him like a special one hit attack but also cause his the alien who beat the Forever King and destroyed Mt. Rushmore), AF Ben will use Alien X, UA Ben can use Master Control to combo attack using all five of his special scanned aliens (NRG, Armadrillo, Amfibian, Waterhazard & Turtle) & OV Ben can either use Atomix or a timeline/dimension gangup attack like Megaman & Hero does in Smash with Ben 10,000 coming in for the last hit using Atomic X or they can do something more light hearted where Ben team attacks with Rook. Idk about the reboot though, something with his special armor forms or Shockrock enhancements??
(10,000 is my most wanted, Classic is my 2nd, Omni is my 3rd, UA 4th & AF 5th)
They can even give him a 10/15 second transformation timer in reference to the fact Ben says his transformations usually last 10/15 minutes in Omniverse.
Also they could add the failsafe mechanic where if Ben takes enough damage while his watch is recharging he'll automatically transform into one of his aliens randomly.

No, the gates to other planets in this Universe has been closed. I don't think there were ever possibilities of going to another universe, but if so, they've been closed.
The definition of 'multiverse' includes random quantum fluctuation bubble universes, parallel universes, parallel worlds, and universes with different physical laws than ours - almost all not being able to support life. This hypothesis is WRONG!

🔷 The Conglomerate of Universes - Universe Creation Theory 🔷
combining GOD/Nature, ancient religions, astronomy, cosmology, fined-tuned laws of physics/general relativity/quantum mechanics, chaos theory/fractals, laws of biology & chemistry, linguistics/code-breaking, programming the Universe/GOD=7_4 or FOD=6_4 theory, intelligent design, mysticism, and philosophy/anthropic principle

"Energy can’t be created or destroyed, only transformed/transferred in an isolated system." General relativity's black holes, white holes, Big Bang and wormholes.

‘The BIG Bang-Bit Bang’ inflation/expansion of energy₇₄ and information into the void 13.8 billion years ago was a supermassive white hole spawned by a supermassive black hole at the heart of a galaxy in our ‘parent₇₄ universe’. This duality combines general relativity’s singularities of infinite density breaking through spacetime in ‘Cosmic Egg hatchings’ of all created universes within ‘The Conglomerate’: multiverse with no random quantum fluctuation bubble universes, no parallel worlds, and all universes have similar physical laws. Our Universe is 1-in-2 trillion ‘self-similar offspring’ each with alike inherited traits/‘DNA’.

“In the beginning”, the Planck density of the core of a SBH is a birth canal. ‘Quantum bounce SBH-SWH seed transitions’ are ‘quantum tunneling umbilical wormholes’ with energy-matter and data transformed/transferred, albeit scrambled and encoded. The ubiquitous cause-and-effect ‘circle of life cycle’: birth-life-death-transformation-rebirth explains infinite space and eternity - a necessity. Reproduction is GOD/Nature’s plan for greatly spreading life from cells to universes. GOD=7_4 or FOD=6_4 is the #1 program₇₄/law/initial₇₄ condition (see Seal #2 ).

Why does this Universe exist? It’s our playground (god + run = ground₆₄).

      - Seal #1a of the 7seals.blogspot.com . Only the returned Christ & Albert Einstein reincarnated could produce this - it's triggered The Apocalypse/ Revelation which is NOT the 'end of the world'. COVID-19 is part of Seal #4: S=19 (18.6) Theory.

I mean of course the names of numbers would change and possibly the languages but what about the count
    And while I
see it being a logical universe you have to calculate the illogical as well
Therefore in one universe when two objects collide three exist on the laws of physics that we know and love go to -****

The multiverse is another fascinating concept that has captured the imagination of many people. It is a hypothetical idea that there are multiple universes or parallel realities, each with its own distinct history and physical laws. This idea is not yet supported by scientific evidence, but it is an idea that has been explored in science fiction and philosophy. In my own personal opinion, I think it is possible that the multiverse may exist, but it is a fascinating question that still requires a lot of study and exploration to fully understand.

I disagree! Hear me out. Your life has an infinite possibility and every choice you make push you toward one specific ending or path , but there will always be choice until you die. This is why people who say we are predestined to live certain life are wrong (but on the surface right). God knows all the possibilities of your life; but He isn't pushing you toward one or the other unless you ask Him. It makes no sense to have your un-made choices become reality in another universe; that actually defeats the purpose of Free Will.

Foundational Approach, in deductive certainty, the Pragmatic Approach, Social Construction, Theological Approach, Phenomenological, Mythological, Moral/Ethical/Aesthetic Approach, Logical/Rational, and on and on.
I see deGrasse as a philosopher of Scientism, rather than science, a limited methodology that can only reveal so much, without certainty. And once you push it beyond that limited scope, it becomes Scientism, a religion with all sorts of make-believes that can never be proved. But it surely sounds like, nicely sophisticated gibberish.

You’ll never figure out if there are multi or singular universes because it’s beyond our complexity level of comprehension. A supernatural Creator created it. It’s like looking at a portrait and describing to the world what only your eyes see or what you’ve studied about art. But only the mind and the mouth of the artist/Creator can tell you what they've painted. Which colors were used and mixed to get that perfect shade? How many different layers of paint did they use to get that texture? What were the various tools and techniques of strokes, splatters, and flicks it took to create their masterpiece or masterpieces (multi vs. singular debate), depending on how many variations they’ve designed to display or not to display because they’re not ready to reveal it yet? With the first level just consider the void timeless without an edge or border and it becomes the base for infinite space/time. I'm not to sure of the possibility for different laws of physics but some areas will explode, some will synergize, and some will go cold... its just with an infinite base for this to happen in, it can churn out every combination of everything and repeat them when necessary.

Or in other other words, the world is affected by our thoughts, whether it’s intentional or not, and whether we are aware of this or not.

The multiverse as a wave function that is collapsing as we move through time definitely makes sense. But, the existence of an infinite number of universes that are tangible and existing contemporaneously with our own is unfathomable to me. I can’t comprehend 52! Let alone infinity.
