If I’m not mistaken about my Clan Invasion history, I believe a Rasalhaguian woman played a large role in fixing that problem for the Inner Sphere as a whole.

Ah that one dynasty which threw away the excellent gladiator design because it lost 1 battle due to them using it poorly and made a crappy replacement for it in the Von Rhors. I'll note that Gladiator is good enough that it deserves to be among the classic 55 ton calvary designs.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it the Primitive GLD-1R that soured the DCMS on the design and medium mechs in general? The very solid -4R introtech design debuted much later to astonishingly poor reception. Which is a damn shame, because it seems to be a solid competitor to the introtech Dragon and Grand Dragon.
@cobalt968 indeed it was. And honestly the 4R isn't so much competition to the Dragon than it is to other 55 ton calvary designs. That being said the lack of indirect fire options does limit it being a direct competitor to the Dragon.
As a proud Kuritan mechwarrior, I was not aware of this history. This was neat. If I may offer my own moral, “All great tragedies, begin with a woman.” So keep it in your pants bros, less it come back to bite you.
The artwork is so off [BT technical readouts] on missiles sizes. Think 1 ton of LRM ammo has 120 missiles . That is a bit over 16 pounds each missile . The artwork shows missiles that should weigh about 200 pounds each . SRMs are even more ridiculous in size to weight . A 16+ pound missile would be about 3 feet long and 4 inches in diameter .
Never expected to hear anyone talk about the Von Rohrs. Feels good. Also, are there any surviving examples of the mech named after them or is it actually an extinct design? Given how the average Kuritan prefers to bury this story, they also did a great job burying the mech into near impossibility to find an intact example of.
