Make sure to place all the bombs at once! Or however many you placed down will knock the ones you placed late into you, in my run this was how I lost my jetpack, ahnk and my sanity after dying to abzu 🙂
I think it's also important for the skip with 2 paste bombs to whatch out for gold or anything else in the crust that could potentially trigger a powder cake and ruin the skip
Really thorough! Good job! I watched because I did Ankh Skip with True Crown on stream and was looking for previous instances. You just need to move the idol at least 8 seconds before your next teleport and do it the standard teleporter way.
I "accidently" did 1 bomb skip because I blow up the third pillar instead of the second (was using pitcher's mitch), so I jumped there and immediately place rope. It feels so good
Thanks for this, I fell in spikes on 4-1 and didn't want to abandon my run, and I managed to pull off the paste skip! I unfortunately then died on 6-2 due to a spark trap pinging me under an elevator trap. Goddammit
I don't know if you knew this or forgot to put it in but for the 3 bomb paste skip, if u have pitchers mitt you have to place it INWARDS. Just thought I'd mention because I heard to learn the hard way lol

Picked up a Teleporter in 4-2 and realized that I forgot Excalibur. Did the Teleporter skip, got to Abzu, bombed Kingu, but died right before she did. I think I might start doing Ankh skip and Crown skip instead of the full chain, bombing Kingu is way more fun than using Excalibur
I usually never have enough bombs, and I suck at timing bomb aswell, so I just go for the Excalibur (if i forget it or lose it, i do try bombing though)

no because the powerpack's explosion is much larger, it explodes like the powered bombs it gives you. the jet/hover packs only explode like a regular bomb.
just failed a run because the paste method at 2:15 didn't work. the second bomb didn't destroy the platform the explosive box was sitting on so it didn't fall and blew up, spilling lava all over me. i was holding the sword so i couldn't get it back after being revived. rip. i think the fault was because the bomb wasn't placed near enough to the platform. but if that's the case it was only by pixels at most

I feel like they've been patched out on the switch. Tried the paste skip 2 times, both times the blasts weren't the correct size. Tried the no-paste skip twice, both times one of the bombs was nudged by the extra bombs and messed it up. Tried the power pack skip once, it exploded way too early, even though I was higher than your indication line. The only time I got to skip was a hidden door
Whenever I try doing the 4 bomb no paste skip the bombs knock each other out if the way and I die. Anyone know why? I’ve lost my good runs because of this.
@@Pastryperson I've made it to Cosmic ocean solo now, but im still coming back for the skips cause i dont have them memorized, and no one seems to have a pitcher's mitt 4 bomb skip for some reason
@@bigmak7559 No indeed, they do however make you stick to walls, which when your entire setup relies on lining up by jumping on a wall poses a little problem
I tried 2 bombs paste several times with pitcher's mitt and it didn't work, it always left the inside powder keg, so I think it messes up the placement of the bombs a bit
After a couple of days losing in the same way after doing exactly the same, I realized that this skip doesn't work with Pitcher's Mitt. Just tried it with no Mitt, still works. Maybe you had one equipped?

@@Star_Licker when you place the bombs on the ropes, instead of placing them away from the middle rope, you place the bombs towards it instead.

So I was in tide pool 4-3 then I heard a explosion in a repeating way and I realized IT WAS A ANKH SKIP!
The four bomb skips literally only works half of the time but it used to work every time. It just decides not to hit the left explosive box

4 bombs, no paste method never works for me. I do it exactly as you say, and execute it perfectly. But yet, it never works.

no because the powerpack's explosion is much larger, it explodes like the powered bombs it gives you. the jet/hover packs only explode like a regular bomb.

The other backpacks don't have as big an explosion I believe
