  • This is a video about Mammography including an introduction to mammography for breast cancer screen. The video focuses on the physics of the mammography acquisition and how it differs from traditional x-ray imaging. We cover the unique angle of the x-ray tube, the physics motivations for breast compression, the very low kVp and k-edge filtration that is standard in mammography.

Thank you! I was having some issues understanding the radiation beam worked, and this helped a lot!

Does anyone here know how many line pairs does Mammography resolve? and when compared to CT which one has better resolution? If possible please provide the source of info
    Thanks

Traditional CT has between 6-20 lp/cm and mammograms have at least 50 lp/cm or higher. Often mammo systems quote numbers in lp/mm since the spatial resolution is higher. There are newer CT scanners with higher resolution using photon counting but still lower than mammo.

Have you seen our video on CT detectors, and the one on photon counting detectors? Are these the detectors you are interested in?

Meri right side breast mein lump tha 5 years earlier uski surgery hui thi uske baad se mujhe right side breast mein pain, itching, numbness rehne lgi. Problem find out krne ke liye humne ab mammography krayi mammography both sides ki hui and after that dr. ne right side breast ka ultrasound bhi kiya unhone btaya ki ultrasound mein koi problem nhi h sab normal h but jab unhone mujhe report di usmein mammography mein sab normal likha hua h usg mein fibroadenosis in one side and impression mein fibroadenosis in bilateral breast likha hua h. Sir how is it possible jab ultrasound right side ka hua toh wo dr. Kaise keh sakte h fibroadenosis left side mein bhi h maine unse yhi baat puchi toh wo kehte h aapke breast x-ray se aise lag rha h but unhone mammography mein sab normal likh rkha h
And sir fibroadenosis ki wajah se agar problem hoti toh uski wajah se toh both sides problem rehni chahiye but mujhe only right side mein hi problem h
Sir please suggest me something what i have to do now. Am I right or wrong? Whether I again have to talk to that dr. or not about that report?
