Such a clean build. Building myself a 1jz 85 Cressida. I drive it everyday to work. I live in SoCal too! I drive from downtown la to Hermosa beach to marina Del Rey every morning. If you’re ever down in the South Bay Ken I’ll see you around. Look for a dark blue 85 on CCW reps and you’ll hear a spool too! I’m a little different though my Cressida kind of lifted. I am seeking to build it for rally.

I had an 89 and a 90
The 89 was the base of the manual swap and then the 90 was turboed with a 7mgte complete swap from a supra
Then all the swap is been worked on a Volvo 240 wagon with Subaru wrx seats and a whole lotta mods . Great looking Cressy miss mine a lot!!!
The best video I have watched on CZcams period, my dad use to drive one of those and then CZcams recommendes a Cressida 1jz swap dude love at 1st site and Ken is so chilled saying with all the parts available the build can be done in a weekend, now I want to do it. Beautiful car beautiful explanation, good parts list everything was perfect.
I've got an 87 Cressida for 1300, with 88K miles, all stock, 5M-GE, that has lost the valve seal on #4. This has given me some ideas as the how to address this and the true value of what I have. Thanks!!!

I’m buying a 90’ Cressida for 650 this Saturday and it needs a head gasket which is the most I’ve ever done but hoping to increase my mechanical knowledge

All US Cressida were solid rear axle through 1982. 1983 and up sedans has IRS, wagons had SRA. Wagon was discontinued after 1987, 1988 didn’t have it.

I love these old toyotas and specially the way they looked and also the interior was one of my favourite thing it was simple clean and all the bottons the dash and the gauges were so good I just love to get one of these in future but in it's best orginal condition which will hard to find in uk. But I must say these cars were great, better then new ones I mean the really new cars from 2010 above are just crap everything has been getting cheaper and cheaper on cars but the prices are gone up and up, but that's because of the all the crap we have in cars now days such as big screens and all the techy stuff that 70% of it is useless.

And yeah the drift scene has ruined so many good Cressidas and destroyed them. Someone needs to start restoring them back to stock original.
I'm doing OEM+ on my 91. Fully loaded model, coilovers, stock bumpers with 69 Camaro Chin Spoiler, OEM chrome wheels powered by bpu twin turbo 1JZ.
Yeah I wish they would stop destroying them. Also same with r31 in Australia. They get drifted and killed :(
I currently have an 84 Cressida with the rain guards. I am the third owner! Hasn’t been on the road for a few years but I’m currently in the works making it my daily. Well kept car! I have the owners manual & maintenance booklet... sadly gma wasn’t on top of her game, last oil change written down was in 2000 96,000 miles. Got a lot of love for the Cressidas

Micho Lazcano I got lowering springs off my Mx73 that I’ll slap them on but techno tuning sells coilovers if you got the bread! I would def recommend reading forums! You can use mr2 shock inserts in the tube but also use spacers or you’ll bottom out I believe. There’s not much on mx63 so sometimes you got to think outside the box fam. Gotta be creative and make shit happen! Besides it’ll be worth it in the end! Cheers from VA

the problem with the cressidas was the 7M.. blown head gaskets and they've all just been scrapped
